Tanjiro's Pov:

Me, Zenitsu, and Murata were on our way to school and we were on the bus.

I look over at Zenitsu and he looks tired. He has bags under his eyes like he hasn't slept in days.

Zenitsu is starting to fall asleep and lean towards Murata.

Murata moves and Zenitsu falls a bit and wakes up. Not even a second later he leans on my shoulder and falls back asleep.

Wait- why am I is my face heating up? Is my face red? Wait, am I blushing?

I look down at Zenitsu and he still looks as tired as before. Yet he still doesn't look bad. He's so pretty. How can someone look so amazing even when they are in this condition?

Wait, he's not even asleep. He's still awake. His eyes are open?! Since when?!

3rd person pov:

Tanjiro is still in shock about Zenitsu being awake, but nonetheless he's still staring at him.

Zenitsu looks up at him and blushes.

Tanjiro puts his hand onto Zenitsu's head, feeling as if he needed to be calmed down.

Zenitsu blushes even more, but still closes his eyes.

Zenitsu: "Thanks Tanjiro."

Tanjiro: "No problem Zenitsu."

Zenitsu falls asleep and they eventually make it to school.

Tanjiro: "Zenitsu, get up we need to go." -he says softly, whispering into Zenitsu's ear, while also patting his head-

Zenitsu: "Ok." -he says in a tired tone-

They get up and Zenitsu stumbles a bit but Tanjiro catches him and makes sure he won't fall again.

They go inside the school and go to their first class. Which luckily for them, they have together.

The class begins after a bit.

Zenitsu and Tanjiro sit in their seats that are right next to each other.

Zenitsu puts his head down and closes his eyes.

Tanjiro notices and tries to make sure he doesn't get caught, but it's not like their teacher would do anything or could do anything. They sit at the back of the class and this teacher is really nice, plus they aren't even doing anything important at the moment.

Zenitsu wakes up after about half the class has already gone by.

Zenitsu: "How long was I asleep for?" -he asked in a quiet voice-

Tanjiro: "About 25 minutes."

Zenitsu: "Dang, I didn't mean to sleep that long, and now I'm not gonna be able to sleep, oh my god this is bad." -he says aloud yet he was really just talking to himself-

Tanjiro: "Hey, calm down Zenitsu it's gonna be okay." -he says while putting his hand on his back and speaking in a soft tone-

Zenitsu: "No it isn't. My grandpa (gramps) is gonna kill me. He hates when I don't get sleep."

Tanjiro: "No offense, but he can go fuck himself. Maybe if he didn't have you worrying all the time you would actually be able to get sleep."

Zenitsu: "None taken, because it's true. He needs to stop being so aggravating about things like that."

Tanjiro: "Just ignore him."

Zenitsu pretends like he didn't hear that cause he knows what will happen if he ignores his grandfather.

After a while the class ends and they leave.

Zenitsu is still tired somehow, but he tries not to fall asleep in any more of his classes.

-Time Skip-

It's after school and everyone was just starting to leave.

Tanjiro sees Zenitsu and runs up to him.

Tanjiro: "Hey Zenitsu!"

Zenitsu: "Oh, Hi Tanjiro!"

Tanjiro: "Are you actually awake now?"

Zenitsu: "I think so."

Tanjiro: "That's good, well do you want to go somewhere with me and the others?"

Zenitsu: "I don't know..my grandfather might get mad."

Tanjiro: "If he does I'll defend you, I'll even walk you home and make sure nothing happens and if anything does I'll take you with me instead."

Zenitsu: "I mean, I guess I could go."

Tanjiro: "Yay!"

They start going to the others and while walking Tanjiro grabs Zenitsu's hand.

Everyone (that they're friends with) sees this and smile and talk amongst themselves about it.

Tanjiro: "Hi everyone."

Zenitsu: "Yea, hi."

Everyone says hi and blah blah blah. They all leave and go places like the shops restaurants and other places.

Tanjiro and Zenitsu were basically eye-fucking the entire time. And they were also flirting with each other and holding hands.

This made everyone think they were together but just not telling them.

Giyuu: "Are you guys like dating or something? And if not y'all should cause this is unbearable."

Tanjiro: "We aren't together."

Zenitsu: "Yea but do you wanna be?"

Tanjiro: "Bold. But absolutely!"

They get together and everyone is glad.

Nothing really happened after that, but Tanjiro just took Zenitsu to his house with the rest of his family instead of Zenitsu's Josue with his grandfather. Not trusting that his grandfather would like that he left without telling him.

They had a great night!

This is also very short but I tried to come up with an idea and I really wanted to do something to keep me from falling asleep and watching demon slayer wouldn't help.
So I made this! But I'm gonna read another TanZen one shot book and a whole bunch of prompts so that I can make another chapter!
