I feel changed in a way I've never thought possible. The slate wiped clean. It's a scary feeling, being happy. There's so much to lose.

"What are you thinking about?" Amanda asks between breaths.

She's so damn gorgeous, and what's more, she doesn't even know it. Her heart makes her all the more irresistible. She and Rosa are training together. They have been since Wrath went back. After the fight, Rosa and Amanda became very close, I guess they have things in common. They're always whispering and laughing. I wouldn't miss they're training sessions for all the tea in china. They think I'm there to give guidance, but there's something about two women sweating and rolling around together that's erotic. I loath to admit, but I am slightly jealous and keeping an eye on Rosa, Amanda is a beautiful woman, and she's mine!

"He's imagining me kissing you!"

Rosa's comment ignites a growl of possession. She backs off laughing.

"Calm down. It was just a joke. Jeez! I'm straight, you know."

Amanda laughs and attacks Rosa rolling on top of her.

"Ha! Three to two. I win!"

Rosa grunts, kicking her off,

"That was a cheap shot!"

"There are no cheap shots in war, just a winner and well..."

Amanda throws her hands up, walking away. Rosa laughs, rolling her eyes and glancing at the clock.

"Better hurry up if we're late for dinner. Jacob will have an aneurysm."

When she leaves the room, I throw Amanda over my shoulder, placing my open hand over her plump cheeks possessively.

"She shouldn't tease me like that. It brings out the animal in me."

Her lusty laugh has me as hard as stone.

"Maybe I want you rutting me like an animal."

Oh, this woman will be the death of me.

"I want to take you back to my land. Will you come?"

I set her down outside of the kitchen. I need to see her face.

"I would love to go back with you."

She truly loves it there. She was made for me. I smile and grab her hand, dragging her to the kitchen, I'm suddenly starving.

These last couple of weeks have been the best of my life. In the midst of all the chaos, I'm finding peace. I can't say the same for Jacob. This last loss has been detrimental to his health. He has lost weight and has not slept much because of it. He goes on late night trips to who knows where, and we haven't had a meeting since that night.

On the upside, Tally has made progress. She has learned to control her emotions and, in turn, her meltdowns. Jacob thinks by her seventeenth birthday, she can start training. Her appetite has definitely increased as she's coming into womanhood. Jace has taken an interest in her that has started to concern me. At times, I see possessive glances that shouldn't be there. I remind myself to monitor him.

Grayson has been deeply focused on his training, spending most of his days in the gym. It's about time, I'd say. Elliot, who has been dedicated to routine his whole life, has been slacking. The once quiet and committed demon has been drinking more and giving into his baser instincts, whoring about and fighting with random species and sometimes humans. He and Jacob have been butting heads as well. Jacob has asked us all to keep an eye on him, but our concerns usually fall on Jacob himself.
