"I know, I know everything," Ishan confesses as it lands on Shubman like a heavy rock. This wasn't supposed to happen, How could Ishan possibly find out? Was Shubman that bad at hiding secrets from Ishan?

Shubman's eyes widened in shock, his heart pounding. He never expected Ishan's revelation. "Ishu, what are you talking about? What do you know?"

"I don't know what I'm supposed to be to you. It's like I'm a stranger Shubi, It hurts. It hurts me that you hid this from me, I thought you told me everything,"

"No Ish, This shouldn't affect what we have, Please don't say that" Shubman replies his voice thick with deep rue and misery.

"Shubi, I know what we have is complicated but this was based on trust and honesty. It was about understanding and Shubman, If you don't get the point of this then I don't think I'm supposed to be sleeping next to you each night, cuddling with you, sharing hugs and kisses with you."

"I'm so sorry. It's just really hard on me and I didn't want to hurt you, Trust me, that wasn't my intention."

"Trust you. Hah. I would rather joke about my illness." Ishan added sarcastically.

"Ishu, please, I never meant for it to be like this. I just... I wanted to shield you from the pain. I thought I could handle it on my own," Shubman's voice wavered, his eyes pleading for Ishan's understanding.

Ishan, however, remained silent, the hurt and disappointment palpable in the room.

"Ish, you mean everything to me. I was scared of losing you," Shubman confessed, his voice barely above a whisper.

"Shubman, trust is a fragile thing. You can't build a relationship on lies and secrets. I thought we were beyond that," Ishan said, his gaze fixed on the wall, avoiding Shubman's desperate eyes.

Just as Ishan was about to look back, He heard a loud thud.

Ishan's head snapped towards the source of the sound, and he rushed back into the room to find Shubman collapsed on the floor. Panic surged through him, momentarily overshadowing the hurt and anger.

Ishan immediately dialled the hospital. And, called Rohit bhai.

Within minutes, an ambulance arrived, and Shubman was carefully placed on a stretcher. Ishan rode alongside him, anxiety and concern etched on his face. The hospital staff worked swiftly to assess Shubman's condition.

As Shubman was wheeled into the emergency room, Ishan paced in the waiting area. His mind swirled with a tumult of emotions—betrayal, worry, and a lingering love that seemed impossible to untangle.

After what felt like an eternity, a doctor emerged from the emergency room, her expression serious. Ishan's heart pounded in his chest as he approached her.

"Are you the guardian of Mr. Shubman Gill?"

"Yes, I am," Ishan said looking around for signs of Rohit, Virat or Rahul. Someone who could handle the situation way better than he can.

"Is he okay? What happened?" Ishan fired off questions, desperation evident in his voice.

The doctor sighed, "Mr. Gill is stable for now. It seems like his fever spiked, causing him to faint. These are the side effects of the Chemotherapy he's been under. I'll give him a few medicines that will reduce his fever. You can meet him in a few minutes."

Virat came in running and panting heavily catching his breath. "What happened? Is he okay?"

"I'll let you be," The doctor said and left.

Ishan's phone flooded with messages concerning him, shubman and his health. No one could hide the fact about Shubman anymore as Ishan himself came to know about it.

Ishan went inside Shubman's room and looked at him fast asleep on the hospital bed. He hated the fact that Shubman still looked like a knockout and it was hard to accept the fact that his guy would not be there for him anymore.

A few days ago, Ishan knew something was up and came across Shubman's medication. He researched all about it and now here he was; Looking at him, looking at his soulmate battling for life.

He pulled up a chair and sat beside Shubman, his eyes never leaving his face. The room was filled with the sterile scent of hospitals, and the soft hum of medical equipment.

Shubman stirred in his sleep, his eyelids fluttering open. He looked at Ishan, his gaze searching for reassurance. "Ishan, I'm sorry," he whispered, his voice weak.

"This was not how I wanted you to find out but I guess life always has different plans made in advance."

"I thought you would leave me Ish, Thank you so much for being here," Shubman continued to talk.

"Shh" Ishan motioned putting a hand on shubman's mouth but Shubman continued to talk anyway.

"I thought I would lose you Ish, I thought it was all over when it went all dark, but I know you'll always find me, wherever you go."

"meri jaan, I can never leave you, I'm stuck with you for a couple of lifetimes I guess. Of course, I am still mad at you but that doesn't mean I can leave you. You've made a fevicol-like bond with me, If I'd have to give up anything for that, then I wouldn't. Because this means everything to me. And, Nothing can stop me from this"

"Fevistick-like bond," Shubman jokes showing his dimples.

"Shubi. Promise me this. You can leave but make sure you tell me before you do alright? Just don't leave too soon." Ishan said hugging Shubman trying to get Shubman's head to his chest. Shubman was amusingly tall.

"I won't leave without letting you know. I've always believed we're bound beyond this lifetime."

"I never wanted you to see me like this, Ish. I wanted to be the strong one, to shield you from the darkness."

Ishan gently stroked Shubman's hair, his touch a mixture of comfort and silent understanding.

"You've got to lean on me sometimes. You're not the only one who wants to protect." Ishan said as he leaned closer and gave a kiss on Shubman's forehead.

"I don't know if I can face losing you, Shubi," Ishan admitted, his voice barely above a whisper.

"You don't have to face it alone, We're always there," As Shreyas, Kuldeep, and Siraj barge inside the room.

Where did they come from?

"You dumbo, How could you hide such a huge thing from us?"

"Bhaiya,I don't want to be reminded of this. You agreed to dance on the streets at 3 a.m. Let's do that today."

"Are you wishing to get killed by me Shubi?" Jaddu interrupts as he comes in too thinking of the sickroom as Shubman's room.

"Bhaiya, I want to finish everything that's on my bucket list. And, I don't want to have any restrictions on myself. The doctor said I'll be fine if I take my medications on time. He also said I can walk around and dance."

"Oh, so you're planning to dance on the streets at 3 a.m. with me, huh?" Virat smiled smugly.

Shubman, despite his weakened state, managed a weak chuckle. "Maybe, bhaiya. But first, let me get out of this hospital bed."
