The series  is what we call " there's more  to this than meet in the eye", a melodramatic series that will leave your heart in awe for days to come.The author is indeed a great story teller of flawed characters----she will make you hate  or love them at the same time.The main character is no Mary/Gary sue, rather they are flawed characters scarred by the harsh reality of life.I love how the author transitioned this character growth in each book is conveyed , it's not forced but slowly by self realiazation and acceptance through the the pages of book. The series is not perfect  itself but packed with valueable life lessons readers could reflect on.
