{The perfect marriage } Introducing {chapter 1 }

Hi my name is Chanel Carpender , I am a real estate agent and a wife to mr. Derek carpender he is a Lawyer and we bought and own a big beautiful house in Downtown Atlanta . We are both from Detroit and met when I was 17 in high school , my mom ( Nicole Springer ) and dad ( Anthony Springer) didn't allow me to have a boyfriend until I was finished with college but Derek has been around ever since high school . He was a d1 basketball player and I was a cheer leader , I loved cheering just so I can get cute and watch him play and secretly cheer him on and also because of my two girl best friends La'Asia but every one calls her LALA and Cherish . I've been knowing cherish since the 2nd grade . Me and cherish met lala in middle school and we been best friends ever since and always would hang around eachother . One night it was our senior prom remember I told y'all I couldn't have a boyfriend haha well I had to go to prom with someone ! And that someone was Derek . My mom never questioned anything but my dad was always like "sooo how y'all 2 meet and decide to go to prom together" I blamed cherish haha I told him that cherish and him were really close because of they parents and I felt like if cherish parents knew of him and cherish knew him then my dad would kinda cut some slack . And he did he let me go thank god ha . But when it was time for Derek to pick me up oh honey it was not going so well . Let me fill y'all in .. ( 11 years ago ) Anthony ( dad ) : Chanel who's black charger is this out side of my house? ( Yelling from the living room window to upstairs) Chanel : dad you know it's prom night it's probably that boy from school remember Derek I told you about ? ( dad is mean mugging so bad out the window) Nicole ( Chanel mom) : babyyy your gonna scare that boy I'm sure he see's you through this big windows and you got the blinds all up the whole neighborhood probably thinking we're crazy . DAD : well first of all he should've pulled in through the drive way the correct way and second you can't even see through the boys windows they so tinted ! How he gone be able to see out them windows like that ? MOM : your Escalade is tinted to and we do just fine baby and you wear glasses I'm sure that boy sure can see ( Nicole kisses him on the cheek and pats him twice on the chest ) now get out the window before you scare our whole neighborhood the boy is getting out the car let's welcome him in . ( Anthony closes the blinds really hard and rushes behind Nicole) Derek walks up to the door with red roses ..the real ones too they smelled wonderful and he was smiling ear to ear and rang the door bell . Nicole answered it . NICOLE : hiii you must be Derek ? Derek : yes ma'am ! ( he grabs her hand and shakes it) Nicole shakes his hand back , Derek reaches for Anthony's hand and Anthony folded his arms . Derek looked so nervous . NICOLE : don't mind him , he's a little a aggressive come on in . Derek: wow you have a lovely home mr and Mrs's springer . Anthony : thank you ! I made this all happen for my wife and daughter as a man should ! Derek : understood . NICOLE : well let me go see what Chanel is doing I'll leave you two alone for a second . ( Anthony is just mugging Derek) Anthony : so Derek how'd you and my daughter meet ? Derek : well I know her best friend cherish and um i was originally supposed to go to prom with cherish but . Anthony : oh so you couldn't get cherish now you trying to come at Chanel ? Derek : oh no sir just as friends strictly friends but cherish had already had her someone to go with and she told me Chanel needed someone and I was willing to take that spot um just as friends sir , Anthony : mhm . Derek : your daughter is very beautiful and sweet and (Anthony interrupts him ) Anthony : Aye you don't gotta tell me every thing I already know about mines , this is just for one night so my baby girl can enjoy her prom ! You just make sure she's back by 10:00 on the dot no later than that not 10:01 not 10:02 10:00!! And I mean that you got that ? . Derek : yes sir 10:00pm no later . Anthony : oh and I noticed your windows are dark for your age you got 5% tint or something ? Derek : yea my dad actually went with me to go get them tinted : Anthony : hmm . And you can see ? Derek : yeah I do pretty good ( Anthony looks concerned) Derek : actually really good ! I'll make sure the windows down so I can see real good you know it feels good outside for them to be down ( clears throat ) . But I also noticed you have 5% to on that Escalade . You can see ? ( Anthony was about to be smart but Nicole interrupted from the stair case ) Nicole : doesn't she look beautiful!? (Chanel had on a black sparkling dress with some black and silver heels and her real long hair curled and her light make up beat was so good ! That's one thing her mom was good at ! Well several things but that's what Chanel loved the most of haha) Derek : you look so beautiful! I brought you flowers ! ( chanel was smiling so big ) chanel : thank you and omg they smell sooo good thank you derek . (Anthony looked at Derek mugging and rolls his eyes) Anthony : baby girl you look amazing! Let me help you down the last step baby girl . (Anthony reached for her hand and chanel grabbed it) Chanel : thank you daddy ! And mom thank you ! Anthony : I told Derek have you back here AT 10:00 ! Chanel : got it daddy ( she kisses him and her mom on the cheek ) I love you both so much . Nicole : we love you to sweet heart go have fun and be safe drive safe okay honey . Chanel and derek both says yes ma'am as they are walking out the door . As They got to the drive way Derek says : your dad is a bit aggressive Chanel : hey wait til he finds out your my boyfriend haha ( Derek looked so scared and opens the car door for her and waits for her whole body to be in and closes it, as he walks to other side he whispers ) Derek : Yeahh I think I want to keep that a secret for life actually. Fast forward to 10 years later . We are having our wedding my mom and dad looked so happy for me ! We said our vows and all of that and danced away . We had a after party and my dad pulled Derek to the side and says : can I holla at you for a minute . Derek : yeah wassup ? Anthony: you remember the first time you took my daughter to prom . Derek : every bit of it . Anthony : remember you told me you liked my home and I told you I made all that happen for Nicole and Chanel ? Derek : yes ! Anthony : I'm glad you took that and ran with it . I see you really love my daughter and cherished her the moment you met her and bought y'all a beautiful nice home in atlanta and you even became a lawyer in atlanta ! Please don't go up there and forget us back here in Detroit you know y'all can come down anytime and visit ! I know you lost your parents and that's hard to take , me and Nicole can take over some parts of that parenting and heal some of the wombs ! Derek : thank you man I really appreciate that ! And appreciate this conversation! I needed to hear this from you . I'll make sure we come visit once every 2 months and we can stay a week during holidays ! If that's okay with you? Anthony: that works perfect man( Anthony and Derek both smile and laugh as they give each other that male hug with the hand shake ). 1 in half year later . Let's get to the story !
