By the time I got out of the shower it was 5:30 I picked out my black Nordstrom dress I had unpacked in my drawer earlier, I threw my hair up on a towel and I started applying my makeup, "lacy we have less than thirty" mom called, "okay mom I'm coming let me just finish my hair and makeup" I was not ready to go over to the Scott's it felt weird since I would see Lucas.
It was 6:30 and me and mom were knocking on the door, we had brought apple pie that mom made while I was getting ready. The door opens and it was Liam, "mom the Richards are here"
"hello Liam pleasured to be here" mom politely said. In the corner of my eye I saw Lucas he had been staring at me already, my stomach dropped not in a way I've ever felt I wasn't sure if it was my gut or maybe just butterflies.
As we walked inside I took my sneakers off, I could tell they were rich "New York come check out my room" Lucas grabbed my hand, "oh okay" my face started to blush but I think he was just being polite. As I walk upstairs there floor was different it had two bedroom and a bath I assume it's Liam's and Lucas's. "So New York how are you liking Florida" "Lucas my name is Lacy" "woah don't need to get so defensive New York I was just kidding"
I starred at Lucas as he took me to his room. His wall had NFL teams and NBA teams everywhere. "So you like sports" I asked "yup always wanted to be in the NBA but that blew" Lucas exhaled, "hey if you don't mind me asking What happened" I asked "let's save that for another time New York" I could tell he was upset but I wasn't sure why.
When it came time to eating I sat down next to mom and Liam, Tara was serving pasta with vodka sauce. "So Lacy Florida school are highly into sports, do you play any sports?" Tara asked me but I don't know what to say I used to but after Kingsley I quit. I stare at mom hoping she knows what to say. "Lacy is more into education with mathematics and English" mom answered I smile at her and I mouth her and say thank you.
"Lacy are you excited for school" Liam asks trying to make a conversation, I nearly choke on my water "school what when" I thought summer lasted for two more weeks, "us Florida people go back early but don't stress it you'll be fine" Lucas said while grabbing another spoonful of pasta. "mom I barley have any school clothes" I complained how come she never told me and when do we even go back? "don't worry New York I can take you to the mall but we should go tomorrow since school starts in two days." "two fucking days" "LACY KINGSLEY RICHARD'S" mom screams it's not like it her last day she full on embarrassed me. "sorry mom it slipped" I felt embarrassed since everyone was staring at us but all I could really put into my head was three words "school, mall, and Lucas."
