Taehyung was waiting in the car after school, he looked at the driver. “Let's go home.”
“We will. I am just waiting for your brother.” The driver said and Taehyung crossed his arms.
“He is not my brother,” Taehyung said, he was already tired of Jungkook going to the same school as him and even stealing Taehyung's friends.
Taehyung came out of the car and saw Jungkook talking to Y/n.
“Jungkook! Come here!” Taehyung called him. Jungkook looked at him and excitedly ran to him. “Why did you take so much? I had to wait for you!”
“I am going to Y/n’s house, she asked me to come over.” Jungkook told him.
“Of course, Y/n loves taking stray animals home. So she is pitifully taking you home. Go ahead, I am leaving then.” Taehyung said. Leaving Jungkook hurt and sad.
But Y/n called Jungkook and brought him to her car and then she took her to her house.
“You will love it when you meet my grandfather Jungkook! He is really awesome!” Y/n exclaimed excitedly while holding Jungkook's hand.
Jungkook stood with his backpack slung over one shoulder, facing Y/n's father as Y/n tried to vouch for their innocent friendship.
Jungkook is disliked merely because of the fault of his parents.
Y/n's father, crossing arms, "Why are you with him? Why aren't you playing with Taehyung, Y/n? You should play with him, not this guy.”
“His name is Jungkook, We just want to play together. Taehyung is meanie, I don't like him.” She exclaimed.
Jungkook, nervously,"Yeah, We were meet grandpa,”
Y/n's father, raising an eyebrow, looked at Y/n, “Honey, how about you go inside? I bought a video game for you.”
“Really, Jungkook let's go inside,” Y/n said.
“Y/n, go inside, Jungkook will come too.” Y/n’s father said, Y/n rushed inside.
Her father looked at Jungkook. “You should go home.”
Jungkook looked at him confused with his innocent eyes. Not understanding why he wants to send Jungkook home.
Jungkook thought maybe her father is just strict, but the next day when Taehyung came over he was treated well by everyone.
Jungkook considered himself a problem. Maybe something was wrong with him, right? Because everyone is normal with other kids but treats him so differently.
__Years passed by like that, and Jungkook was in highschool now.
Jungkook lay on the rooftop, gazing at the expansive sky. The cool breeze rustled through their hair as Y/n joined, settling beside them. Jungkook was not talking to her and looked really serious and sad.
A distant plane soared overhead, capturing Y/n's attention.
"That's incredible," Y/n exclaimed, "I've always admired the beauty of planes and the freedom they represent."
Jungkook nodded, his eyes following the plane's path. "You know, I've always dreamt of becoming a pilot.”
“Why? Do you enjoy Flying high and exploring the world from above? It seems like an amazing experience." She said,
As another plane cruised by, their conversation soared, carrying their dreams into the vast expanse of the sky above.
Jungkook shook his head, “I want to run away. Fly so high, away from everyone. I don't want to stay around people on earth.”
“Hmm, that's good.” She smiled.
“What's your dream?” He asked.
“Me? I want to become like grandpa,” she exclaimed.
“You want to become rich?” He asked. She chuckled and shook her head.
“I want to be kind like him.” She replied.
“Kind, hmm. Sweet.” Jungkook mumbled, he turned towards with a smile.
“Yes, he always takes care of others and specifically the stray dogs and cats. I like to do the same.” Y/n exclaimed telling him how much she loves helping others. His smile just dropped.
“So that's why you are with me all the time?” Jungkook exclaimed, still remembering Taehyung’s words.
“Hmm? What does that mean?” She asked.
“You pity me.” He said.
“No, you are my friend.” She exclaimed.
“That's why you became my friend?” He asked. She was about to say something, “Just leave,”
“Shut up. I am not leaving you.” She exclaimed.
“I will leave then,” Jungkook exclaimed and left. Y/n sat up and was confused by his behavior.
__Around the dinner table, Jungkook sat with his family. His father couldn't help but shower praise on Taehyung for always doing well in college.
As the chatter swirled, Jungkook's father turned his attention to his own son, curiosity etched on his face. "Jungkook, what's your future plan?" he inquired, a note of expectation in his voice. “I can't wait for you to join the business.”
Taehyung just started, he doesn't want to work with Jungkook. He is not as rude to him as he was in childhood but that doesn't mean he has accepted Jungkook in any way.
Jungkook hesitated for a moment, his gaze meeting his father's. "I'm thinking of joining flying school," he confessed, a declaration that hung in the air, surprising the entire table.
His father's eyes widened, momentarily taken aback. "Flying school? But we have the biggest airline in Korea," he remarked, a mixture of surprise and curiosity in his tone.
Jungkook said, "I want to be a pilot, Dad. It's my dream," he explained.
Jungkook's father set down his utensils, "Jungkook, joining the family business is a legacy, a responsibility. We've built an empire, and I had hoped you would step into those shoes," he began, a fatherly concern evident in his voice.
"I respect what you've built, Dad, and I'm proud of it. You have Hung, he will handle it, I don't want to." he expressed.
His father sighed, he doesn't want to force Jungkook. As their father left, Taehyung looked at him, “You know your place huh? You know pilots and aerospace engineering works under us,”
“Not us, under you and dad. I don't want to take anything that belongs to you from you, the business belongs to you, I am already staying in your house.” Jungkook exclaimed.
Making Taehyung feel a little sad, and realizing Jungkook doesn't seem like he is trying to take anything from Taehyung.
