Flippy x Flaky

Throughout the years we'd all send letters to Flippy. Mostly updates. He never talked about his time spent wherever he was stationed. I got the feeling that him telling us all he was 'okay' and 'doing well' were to make himself feel better. Poor guy was home sick.

His return
I can't believe he was coming home today! I'm so excited to see him. She thought to herself, pacing back and forth in the kitchen prepping the desserts for when Flippy arrived home. Flaky was throwing together a surprise party...Well more like Nutty, Mole, Sniffles, Mime, Cuddles, Toothy, basically the whole town all took it upon themselves to have a surprise party.
Nutty was prepping the drinks, Mole, Cuddles, and Toothy were hanging up the decorations, and Sniffles was setting up a games to play. Everyone else found something to do. Everything was close to finished when Petunia heard something outside. Immediately everyone hid and turned the lights off.
I'm so glad I'm home, I'm so tired Flippy thought to himself opening the door. He stopped before walking inside cautiously. Then everyone yelled "Surprise!!".
Flippy flinched as he received hugs and greetings from everyone. Flaky gawked at him she didn't notice how much he's changed. He's taller, a bit more lean, still fluffy and as good looking as before. She looked up into his smiling eyes he looks so worn down.
He chuckled, taking notice of her starring. I missed her. He walked up to her and she handed him the cake she had baked previously. "Welcome home." He took the cake and gave her a one armed hug "Thank you all so much!" He smiled.
The party went great everyone sat around Flippy talking about future plans. Flaky decided to hang back so he could spend time with everyone else. She and Lammy were discussing plans for a sleep over that night. "We should totally do a sleep over tonight, at my place! We can invite some of the boysss~" Lammy joked taking a sip of her drink allowing Flaky to respond "Tonight? Sure, I'll head over after picking up here. Did you ask the other girls?" Lammy gave a nod and set her drink down. "So who else is coming?" Flaky questioned "Well you know Giggles and Petunia are inviting Cuddles and Handy, maybe we can ask Toothy and Mime. Since Flippy did just get back we should include him." Flaky agreed.
When the party was over everyone bid their goodbyes. The group headed home to get ready for their sleep over at Lammy's. Flaky and Flippy decided to hang back to clean up before heading out. They made slight banter and teased each other. It was like he'd never left. When they were done Flippy had already had a bag packed and ready to go. "I have to stop by my place before heading over, I just gotta grab some clothes and I'll be good." He looked over to her "Well, let me walk you, Flakes. We can go together!" Smiling he held out his arm and she looped hers into it. Gosh he was so cute she blushed, they arrived at her place and she quickly grabbed something to change into and a pair of clothes. They headed out to Lammy's place together arm in arm again. (He made sure she was walking on the inside of the sidewalk.)
