And what are these gates? Into what darkness do they lead us? Is it to heaven? Or is it to hell? Which soul will go to heaven and which will be cursed? This is for the creator to decide. The monarch of France, decided to return to France, also deciding to sacrifice his person through executions. The revolutionaries sought complete power in France, there was no room for another confluence of events. Destiny was written, and it would lead the way to the end. This end would begin a new beginning, a new world. The revolutionaries held the monarch of France in a dungeon, as dungeons have bars and stone walls, and there was also a hole that was supposed to resemble a window, which was also barricaded with bars, so that Touji I could not get out under any circumstances. The revolutionaries, as they were, were preparing various reforms, plans for France... no longer in some luxurious room in a bar, but in their residence, which they had had for a short time. The revolutionaries were very much in favour thanks to the start of the revolution. In the meeting room, Alexander leaned against a cream-coloured wall, decorated in various floral patterns, and it cannot be excluded that gold ornaments could be seen on these walls, which gave the room a certain charm. The residence had two floors and 18 rooms, it was elegant and rich with various rich furniture. This place had one large beautiful garden, which is filled with various bushes of flowers, rare plants. One could definitely say that the residence was opulent. Alexander, waited for a group of revolutionaries to show up to discuss certain matters, concerning all that he had caused, but it was not only because of him that France was in chaos. They were revolutionaries, as he himself is, and what had happened would be with him forever, would be what would haunt him even in his dreams. Alexander looked at his watch which he had in his pocket, he looked at the time, because soon the rest of the revolutionaries should arrive. Suddenly, as he looked at his watch, he heard a knocking, he knew it was them, suddenly he looked at the door which opened. Alexander saw Cam and Kiane enter the room first and then the rest of the revolutionaries, suddenly Cam called out :
- Ah, Alexander ! You are already here, you are always early!- Alexander was quiet for a while and then finally, he said :
- I was just on time. You were five minutes late.- Alexander looked at them uncertainly squinting his eyes, he was quite suspicious of them, even though they were in the same position.
- Nonsense! Well there is no time for such trivialities now! After all, we still have a lot of things to discuss!- Cam said slightly uncertainly, but pretended to be confident as she usually is. Kiana and the other revolutionaries were quiet all this time, listening to Alexander and Cam's conversation. Alexander did not say anything more to what Cam pronounced. The revolutionaries immediately took their seats, at the big table. They discussed the fact that it is taking too long for the King to die, the rebellion of some people against the revolution and the problems with other countries. It can be added that the revolutionaries had a bad relationship with the Pope, from which it can be said that they were now not in the best position in society. However, the revolutionaries came up with the filthy idea that most of these problems should also be exterminated by death, not only and king only and those who are against the revolution or are suspected of conspiring. All the revolutionaries agreed with this, all this was listened to by Capoleon, who said nothing or commented.Capoleon had his arms crossed and was leaning against the same cream-coloured wall as Alexander before. Capoleon was not a talkative person, preferring to listen to others speak and keep his opinion to himself. Capoleon has no problem saying his opinion, but he does if he is asked to do so, or if they ask. The revolutionaries did not pay much attention to him, they had long thought that Capoleon was a strange man, not much of a talker, but he still gave off a strange aura and caused strange pangs of emotion to be felt. The revolutionaries kept boasting about the fact that the French monarch was sitting in a dungeon. Capoleon, listened to this and smiled slightly to himself for a moment. And now I'm going to amaze you with what Capoleon's plan was, so getting to the point Capoleon felt a certain dislike for the revolutionaries through recent events, the revolutionaries despised him in a way that made him able to get back to the monarch's side, and so... that's what he was going to do. Capoleon's plan is to get into the dungeons where Touji I was, he knew that the revolutionaries had no guards in the dungeons, which was very foolish of them. The revolutionaries were sure that no one would get to the French king, given that they had many guards around the mansion and inside. Capoleon, changed his mind quickly about the revolutionaries because of the way they treated him, it was just plain inequality, which he was fed up with. What kind of man would endure an inequality towards each other that lasted for a long time, that could be felt as if it were for an infinite time. However, Capoleon was very attentive to what each of the revolutionaries was saying, he did not want to overlook which he would regret not noticing. Attention for him was paramount at this point. Suddenly, Capoleon heard something from Kiana's mouth about Touji II, the monarch's son.
- After all, we can't change the date of the execution, after all, it's obvious that Touji II will show up and would want to stop his father's execution. Ahh, stupid Touji II was unaware that this would happen, and now? He is trying to return to France.... but it will be to our advantage because we can then kill him too.Kiana said, as if she was proud of the idea, and she was, she felt an unfailing pride in her soul. Capoleon looked at her with a somewhat numb expression, but the revolutionaries did not notice, because they were completely focused on the plans they were working out and devising. These plans could also have caused chaos not only in France, but also in other european countries.
How were they supposed to do it? They weren't worried about that.
- After all, our goal is to overthrow the French monarch, so why should we have to overthrow every monarch?- said the supposed revolutionary who was not happy with the idea of interfering in the affairs of other countries.
- 'And who said... that we can't overthrow monarchies all together? Kiana smiled, it might have seemed that there was something strange in that smile that caused slight unease.
- 'Kiana is right, if we are to overthrow the French monarch then let's also overthrow the other monarchs. Alexander added while looking at Kiana. He was to support Kiana in this idea all along.
- So how are we going to do it? It is impossible.- Capoleon said looking at them as numbly as at Kiana, who had just been at his conscience.
- Nothing is impossible. Have you perhaps heard of Edward III becoming terribly ill? Probably Britannia will live to see him gone even before we cut down Touji I...- Kiana said smiling at Capoleon, you could say that Kiana was a person who always had a solution for everything.
- What a coincidence... Edward III is going to die soon, just like Touji I himself.... These rulers always have to die one by one... - Kiana added with a laugh, it looked like she was comfortable saying that.
- Besides... I thought that Edward III would sit longer in his position, but by doing so, the matter may be even better for us...-
- So what are the plans?" asked Capoleon raising an eyebrow, he knew that Kiana's plans could be effective as well as beneficial to the revolutionaries. Was Kiana planning for the revolutionaries to become more than revolutionaries of France? Or more the revolutionaries of the world? You can bet the smallest penny on that. Kiana looked at him with somewhat worried eyes, it seemed that the face and emotions of the woman quickly changed after some time, you could still tell that Kiana was not a person worth messing with.
- Hah... plans? Are we by any chance making them now?" she asked herself and after a moment she smiled and laughed teasingly.
- 'I see our Capoleon is getting a bit chatty at the moment.... and we prefer it when he has his tongue after all.- Kiana said these last words with a stern and sharp voice. Capoleon didn't speak again, he just watched and listened to the revolutionaries talking to each other, each of them watching each other although it was very hard to watch each of them so closely. Capoleon wondered why they were taking Great Britain as their next point when their monarch was likely to die of illness.
Capoleon guessed after a while that Kiana was also concerned with making Great Britain dependent on France, something that Capoleon was frankly indifferent to. And what was Capoleon's plan of betrayal? Apparently I can tell it to you now, Capoleon's plan was simple under the ground of the revolutionaries' residence there was a prison where they detained King Touji I. This prison had two guards whose job it was to make sure that no one broke in here or helped the King escape from the prison, but Capoleon, by his good position, would not have been suspicious of the guards if he had entered their room where the Monarch himself was. If he were to leave without a word even now, it would not move the other revolutionaries.... but if, after he left, Touji I escaped it would be suspicious. Capoleon was not going to take any chances at this point, as he intended to pretend to be a revolutionary for a while longer, so that he could get more information about the revolutionaries' plans. What a wily man Capoleon is, isn't he? Evening came, the revolutionaries finished their meeting and some of them decided to go home and some in the residence. That person who stayed at the residence was also Capoleon. Capoleon was given a room, quite elegant. It had dark blue walls, with large windows and with curtains these windows led out onto a balcony. The bed in the room occupied by Capoleon was one of the newest and most exclusive; it seemed like a bed for some monarch. Capoleon did not get excited about the room he had been given, he took more to his plan which was still in his head, Capoleon was going to wait until midnight when the other revolutionaries were asleep, and so he did. Capoleon corrected his outfit so that there were no inconsistencies in his attire which could make his outfit not elegant. So the man left the room quietly carrying a candle to light his way all the way to the place where Touji I was being held, his steps were gentle and quiet, Capoleon did not want to be suspected of anything, but he knew that it was very possible for them to get suspicious of him. Capoleon, after wandering around the mansion for a few minutes, finally found the stairs leading down to where the prison was. As he descended, Capoleon could feel the cold air coming from the underground prison. The guards heard a hard knock on the door, suddenly it opened quickly and they saw Capoleon. The guards were frightened for a moment and suddenly stood at attention, they knew that Capoleon was anything but strict with the guards.
- Let me come in for a moment, boys,†Capoleon said and after a moment he entered looking around. The guards closed the door behind Capoleon seeing him looking around the room, he saw the French King Touji I himself behind the bars. He looked at him with a slightly unpleasant expression and after a moment turned to the guards hearing the question:
- What are you looking for here?" one guard asked in a stammering voice.
- I was tasked here to look around and to talk to the prisoner in private, so I would ask you to leave for a while.- Capoleon looked at them with a blank look.
- But- -.
- Quiet be better and listen to what he says.- The other guard silenced the guard who wanted to contradict Capoleon's order after a while both of the guards left the place. Capoleon turned slowly towards Touji I, hearing the words and clapping.
- What are you looking for here, Capoleon? I thought we would never speak to each other again. Any changes?- Touji I looked at him reluctantly, he felt disgust for the person who had betrayed him. Capoleon looked at him without any emotion.
- Apparently.- Capoleon crossed his arms and began to speak.
- My present task is to save you, my opinion has changed about the revolutionaries through their selfish and sinister nature. They plan, but not with all their wits. I do not fit in with them, nor do I intend to, so the best option is to save you rather than agonise with these idiots.- Capoleon said, but after a moment Touji I interrupted him.
- Wait... you mean you want to save me?-he was silent for a moment and continued speaking.
- But sacrificing me would be the best option, after all, my people want it.- Touji I said uncertainly and approached the bars gripping one of the bars with his hand.
- I don't think this is necessary, I have heard that many want a monarch like you, so they are rebelling against the revolutionaries and attacking some French cities to protest the revolution. On top of that, your son's life may be in danger because the Revolutionaries have decided on a specific date for your execution to also capture him, because they predict that your son is also going to save you.... so I don't think you want your son to die so soon, so how? Do you want your son to die or do you want to escape together by saving yourself and your son?"- Capoleon had been speaking all this time with his voice urging Touji I to escape from prison. Touji I was surprised at what he heard, inside he did not want his only son to die. He did not want to cause him to be killed by the revolutionaries either, he just wanted his son to live in a normal world, to be happy.
- I... I don't want him to die.- Touji I howled these words quietly and Capoleon said suddenly.
- Great, so the decision has already been made.- Capoleon said, after a while he went to the door and opened it saying :
- You can go in now.- Capoleon said and the guards immediately went inside without slowing down. Capoleon when the guards were at his side of the back quickly took a dagger from his belt which he wore on his waist to defend himself or attack someone. Capoleon quietly approached them while they were still walking on the side of the back, Capoleon put the dagger under the guard's throat and quickly before he knew it slit his throat causing the guard's body to instantly fall down spilling waves of blood which stained the dagger and Capoleon's hands. The second guard was terribly frightened but did not have time to react before Capoleon stabbed him as well. Both guards' bodies collapsed in a quick daze ejaculating a maroon ooze which was called blood, and this blood could also signify no matter what death that visited the two guards that night. From the bodies of the guards the blood did not stop pouring and Capoleon was soiled with this blood.
- It was... quite an impressive play...- Touji I muttered under his breath as he watched what the man planned to do next. He was a little disgusted to see a person kill guards, especially by slitting their throats. Capoleon tucked the dagger into a pouch that was also soiled with blood when Capoleon put the blood-stained dagger in. Capoleon quickly searched the bodies of the guards and found the keys to open the bars for Touji I to leave. The man who was stained with blood quickly opened the bars and said.
- Come out quickly before someone comes here.- Capoleon ordered Touji I. The king quickly left as Capoleon ordered, The man who had killed the guards did not look as if he was in a hurry, after all, he was right, one must leave the place as quickly as possible in order not to be captured. So that's what he did along with Touji I. Capoleon took all his belongings with him from the room he had reserved to live in for a while. Capoleon and Touji I left the mansion through the back entrance, Capoleon even before they left gave Touji I a hooded cloak so that the guards would not know who it was. Capoleon and Touji I were walking in a hurry suddenly Touji I said to Capoleon :
- where are you taking us, Capoleon?" asked Touji looking at him uncertainly, the King did not trust Capoleon and was not sure what Capoleon's own intentions were. Capoleon was silent for a moment and then said :
- Not far from the city is the headquarters of the people who are behind the Monarch, that is you. You probably wouldn't be surprised, but they are fighting and protesting against the revolution that the revolutionaries themselves have caused. There is also a not great military army in the headquarters, because most of the soldiers have died or they were guillotined even before you did. The revolutionaries don't yet know where the headquarters is because it's in a very big forest, which is easy to get lost in.... I just happened to know where it was, but I didn't tell anyone...- Capoleon explained, because of the fact that he was in a terrible hurry he said it at a fast pace, which might have caused Touji I not to understand some of the words. Touji I was confused by all this, he had learnt too many new things and had to put it all together in his head. He also did not believe that there were still some people who supported the monarch and sacrificed themselves for him, it was also very strange to him. Well, I won't prolong it, after an hour Touji I and Capoleon arrived at the place Capoleon called "the seat", Touji I was surprised how many tents he saw and how many people were still awake at that hour, the Monarch also felt proud and appreciated how some people wanted him to rule the country. The guards of the headquarters noticed that a stranger had approached here so they took their weapons in hand and aimed saying :
- Who is there!"- one of the guards of the headquarters shouted and Capoleon said after a moment, continuing in his serious voice.
- I am someone who rescued someone important to you.- Capoleon stared at them blankly, the guards were silent for a moment and again the same guard spoke up.
- Who do you think you have brought here? - The guard looked at them with a raised eyebrow, he did not trust Capoleon, after all, how can you trust a person you have just seen for the first time, the guard waited impatiently, he noticed that Capoleon's hands were stained with some kind of grease, but he did not know what it was.
- King.- Capoleon replied in one sentence, and after a moment the guards burst out laughing.
- HAHAHAHAHA? You? Sam? You were the only one who helped him escape? You're probably drunk, aren't you? Haha!- The guards continued laughing at Capoleon, they didn't believe him they just despised him. Touji I looked at Capoleon and then at the guards. Touji I did not want the guards to laugh at the king so the guard said :
- Very funny, but it is true.- Touji I, after saying these words, took off the rag hood he had worn all the time when he fled from the residence of the revolutionaries. The guards quieted down and froze for a moment, feeling then stupid for having laughed at Capoleon. Suddenly they heard a half shout :
- Soldiers! What is going on here! they heard the voice of a woman who was familiar to Capoleon, all eyes looked at her, it was Lourdens one of the generals of the monarch's army who were to recover the king from the hands of the revolutionaries. The guards began to stammer and after a moment she said :
- Enough! One of you just say! Because I have had enough of your stammering!- Her voice was stern, not something that changed when the King decided that he wanted to undertake the execution. It is strange because she has changed so much in a few weeks.
- Excuse me, Madam General.... I am Capoleon... but I think you already know who I am. I want to declare that, I saved the monarch, I know it sounds strange, but look at him.... safe and sound. I know it's strange to look at it since I was a revolutionary.... but apparently... I betrayed them and now... I'm on your side... aren't I?"- Capoleon said calmly, he didn't say it in such a cold voice as before but more docile, the man corrected his attire looking at the general. The king, the guards and the general just listened as Capoleon explained it all. Lourdens raised an eyebrow and said uncertainly.
- 'How the hell did you manage to do that!!! never mind.... you are a revolutionary.... I mean you were... and you had your ways.-.
- You could say that.- Touji I answered for Capoleon by nodding and nodding gently, it seems that the Lourdens were happy about this, that they had another ally, especially the
King, who was extremely important to them. Lourdens looked at the soldiers who were on night watch, saying sternly.
- And you idiots! Don't wrap up just watch to see if anyone comes here uninvited, because you can see how foolishly you are guarding!- The guards stood at attention shouting :
- Yes sir!- The guards continued to guard the seat, and Lourdens with gentle eyes said calmly to Capoleon and Touji I :
- Please forgive me for my severity .... as a general I have to show who is of lower rank.... please come into my tent, there we will talk.-.
- All right... - Touji I said and nodded, after a while they went to Lourdens tent where they saw a desk with maps of France, papers and an ink pen. Capoleon looked around carefully looking at every detail of the tent.
- All my honour to see the king here at last. She bowed to Touji I. Capoleon had been silent all this time, he wasn't going to say anything again for the next few minutes, but he wasn't sure how the situation would turn out, he just had to wait. Touji I smiled slightly and said :
- Thank you, I know that soon everyone will be informed that I have been recovered thanks to Capoleon?- Touji I asked.
- Very much so my lord...- she nodded gently looking at Touji I.
- You must be very hungry my king for sure.... we will try to make the most exquisite dish for you.- Lourdens added after a moment seeing the king's rejection of the proposal.
- 'No, thank you. I am not hungry at the moment...- Touji I shook his head gently.
- Well... so we will find a tent for the King and that will be your temporary place of arrival, okay?- Lourdens offered another suggestion and the only answer she received was a nod from the French King.
- I will find you a tent too Capoleon...- whispered Lourdens to Capoleon quietly so that only he could hear, Capoleon looked at her slightly and shrugged his shoulders, it was indifferent to him whether he would get the tent or not, he could even sleep with the French soldiers. This is how Lourdens started to look for a tent especially for the king and later for Capoleon. After some time, the news that the king had escaped from prison and was not known where he was staying spread all over France, even all over Europe. Everyone was surprised that the king had managed to get out of prison. The revolutionaries were completely upset by this, but you know...they had a reason.... because it could have been a sign of the following defeat of the revolutionaries.... will this defeat come ? This we do not know.
