Leo and Niamh were really getting along really well. Everything Leo said Niamh laughed at, but he was trying to make her laugh. I love seeing them together. Makes me smile.

They spent most of the evening together. I hung around with Jordan, while I watched Charlie, Harvey, Kelsey and Mickey, chatting and laughing. Charlie's smile was gorgeous. But he wasn't ever going to smile for me.

I was going to my room that evening when I walked past the boys' room, where Leondre was, and the door was open, and he was talking on the phone
"Yeah I miss you too."
Probably talking to his mum I think.
"Babe it's okay I'll be back soon."
Babe?
"I love you too." He says again, "Can't wait to be in your arms."
I freeze against the wall. Was he talking to a girlfriend?
I couldn't compute this. He's been blatantly flirting with Niamh all day.

I couldn't figure out how to tell her. How to not break her heart.

That suddenly seemed impossible.

I consider telling mum, but she'd tell Niamh's mum, and I didn't want her to worry and not let Niamh continue on tour.

That night while Niamh and Jordan are asleep, I lie awake.
I can't sleep.
I check my phone. Quarter past midnight.
I walk to the lounge. In the lounge there is a fireplace on one wall. On the edge there was a giant window, looking onto the streets below. I sat beside it.

On the other side of the room, in the tub chairs, sat Charlie. I hadn't noticed him at first but he came over to me and stood beside me as I gazed out the window.
"Mind if I join you?"

I look at him and shrug, "No sit down it's fine."

We don't say anything for a while, just stare out the window.
"What you doing here?" Asks Charlie eventually.
"Thinking." I say "You?"
"Same." He asks "What you thinking about?"
"Oh nothing."
He smiles "Lies."
"Does Leo have a girlfriend?"
His smile goes "Yeah. Kayla."
My heart sank
"Why?" He says "You don't fancy him do you?"
"No?" I say, and he sighs
"Phew."
"Why would I..?" I say and he cuts me off
"Yeah Kayla's lovely."
"It's just Niamh." I explain "I know she likes him I don't want her heart to break."
He sighs "Sometimes." He says, "You can love someone a hell of a lot when you begin dating. Like me and Mickey. Although our relationship is very forced. When we first met, I'd flirted with Mickey and our mangers suggested dating. We both were new and naive- it didn't matter to us. She was nice. I guess."
I stare at him, confused
"The novelty wears off." He tells me "I'm not saying Leo is fed up of Kayla." He says
"I just know what it's like."
And with that, he got up and went.
