Sejeong typed something into the chat room and deleted it again before sending it. She couldn't think of the right words to make up with Hyoseop. He's been quiet since they last filmed. It seemed that he was so hurt that he didn't want to see Sejeong again. But they have to record the rating pledge, since their drama break the high rating that they expected.
"Oppa,"
She finally sent it. Not long after, the seen sign appeared. She waited for 5 minutes to get nothing, then sent another text.
"Are you busy?"
Hyoseop seemed to read it immediately, but didn't answer. Sejeong was both iritated and guilty at his reaction. She tried to bear with it, and pressed the call button. She waited for 10 seconds until she heard a familiar voice from someone.
"Jagiii..."
"Jihyo?" Sejeong confirmed it.
"Hey! I told you to leave me alone!" She heard Hyoseop yell from behind.
"Stop being childish! My girl doesn't deserve this!" Jihyo defended Sejeong. "Oppa," Sejeong heard Jihyo's tone soften. "Please, don't be like that. I know that deep in your heart, you didn't mean it."
Sejeong felt her heart ache. "Sejeong?" She regained her conciousness after hearing Jihyo called her name. "I'll try to talk to him. Please wait, okay?"
Sejeong put the phone down. She resigned herself to the thought that Hyoseop would never forgive her. But at least she should do her best to approach him, and get him to make the rating pledge. It's their duty after all.
Ding!
Sejeong opened a text message on her phone.
• Jihyo
"Let's meet at the coffee shop."***
Jihyo waved her hand when she saw Sejeong entering the coffee shop. "I'm not too late, am I?" Sejeong asked her as she sat down, turning her face to look at Hyoseop's side.
"Late for what?" Jihyo chuckled. "Okay, since you're here, I'll leave this sulky giant baby to you," Jihyo stood up and grabbed her bag.
"Hey!" Sejeong grabbed her hand.
"You'll never know how much my head hurts because of him," Jihyo whispered into Sejeong's ear. "Good luck, Jagi!" She patted Sejeong's shoulder and smiled. "And, you!" She suddenly turned her face to Hyoseop. "Stop being so childish! I will never forgive you, if you put my jagi in trouble."
"Do you want to go, or not?" Hyoseop asked rethorically with an annoyed face.
"What a temper!" Jihyo glared at him. "Okay, okay, I'm really going now. Take care of your business quickly, okay? I'm tired of being your mediator. And I'm not the one who has much free time to take care of you," Jihyo sighed, making Sejeong feel so guilty.
"I..." they spoke at the same time after seeing Jihyo leave the coffee shop.
"Can I say it first?" Hyoseop asked, looking warmly at Sejeong.
Sejeong fluttered. She just realised that she had longed for his warm gaze. "Yes, please."
"I'm sorry for what I did back then. Sorry for being selfish and making you feel uncomfortable with my confession. I'm sorry for being a childish one and ignoring you during that time. Please, forgive me."
Hyoseop's sincere apology made Sejeong feels so guilty. "Oppa, it's not your fault. Being in love isn't really a crime, is it? And as for you ignoring me, that's just your reaction to what I did, isn't it? I'm the one who hurt you, I'm the one who should apologise to you. Please, forgive me, Oppa."
