Show Up Uninvited and Save Some Supers With a Star

Danny had been out for a morning flight and when he got back he decided to fly through the open window except the window wasn't open and he flew face-first into it.

"I still can't believe you ran into a window!" Peter laughed, and Danny sighed.

"Ha ha laugh it up." Danny pressed the frozen peas into his forehead, "I actually have something to tell you though bug boy,"

"Hey!"

"There looks to be something weird in Metropolis and even Superman is struggling to take it down." Danny stood up and returned the peas to the freezer, "and I personally think we could be super helpful." Danny gave a smile and shot Peter some finger guns.

"Is that so?" Peter laughed, "Then I guess Bug Boy and invisible-o-Bill better head to Metropolis then." Peter walked past him to start packing, ignoring Danny's protest to the name, "Go pack a bag we'll leave as soon as you finish packing."

"Fine," Danny pouted, Storming off to his room. Peter shook his head and smiled.

The biggest grouping of heroes they've ever seen are in Metropolis trying their best to make a plan for taking down the weird alien things, when Spiderman swung in with Phantom flying close on his tail.

"Need a hand?" Spiderman asked, landing.

"Or four?" Phantom landed next to him with jazz hands, he was in full kingly attire, his crown of frozen flames floating above his head, and his usual jumpsuit was traded for a suit of armor and a cape that looked to be made of the night's sky itself fastened to his shoulders by glowing green skulls.

"First the chick and now these two?" Green Lantern groaned.

"Sorry for the bluntness," Flash started, "but who are you?"

"I'm Spiderman!" Peter smiled and shot some finger guns.

"And I am High King Phantom of the infinite realms, keeper of balance, and ruler by right of Conquest." Danny gave a polite bow. Diana bowed back.

"Now I'm even more confused," Flash sighed.

"I came from Mars to warn Earth of this attack but I was captured before I could," J'onn began, "the beings currently attacking your planet, attacked mine a thousand Earth years ago, they would stop at nothing to take our planet. We Martians were peaceful people, but that changed when they began their attack. They are parasites that absorbed and fed on our psychic abilities, they even gained our Shapeshifting skills. Eventually, a small group of surviving Martians came up with a plan, we unleashed a powerful nerve gas that paralyzed them into their underground stronghold, and the cost was great. I was the sole survivor. I sealed up their citadel to keep them in a constant state of suspended animation. But during one of my hibernation cycles a human found and opened it."

"Wait," Flash started, "those astronauts never said anything about finding life on Mars." He crossed his arms.

"Probably some pencil pusher in Washington decided it should be classified," Green Lantern huffed back.

"With the Martians gone, they had nothing to feed on so they set their sights on earth, well I was being held against my will, and they sent agents ahead to weaken earthly defenses,"

"That's why Superman was brought in," Peter said, " so they could decommission the missiles."

"They also sabotaged the deep space monitoring network," Batman added, "so we couldn't detect their activities."

"So how do we defeat them?" Danny asked.

A loud crack and rumble could be heard from the crater in the middle of Metropolis
