It was about 11:30 pm and Rose was in her study reworking some old spells due to plant and animal extinction or endangerment. She may kill people but she cares about the environment.

Everything was normal.

Till she felt a shift in her wards.

"Ed? Are you outside?" She poked her head out the door calling down the stairs.

"No?" He answered.

She walked back into her study furrowing her brow.

The wards should be stable she redid them when she entered

She sat back down at her desk

Then a kid fell from a portal in the ceiling and landed in front of her.

She screamed.

"Oh my! Oh- um- my- what on earth!?" she stood quickly knocking her chair to the ground.

The kid was in rough shape, his black hair was a mess, some of it stuck to his forehead, the rest was a mess of knots, and his under eyes looked more like luggage for a 2-year trip than just bags, but what held her concern was the scars and injuries littering his skin. On his hand and leading up to his shoulder, across his chest, and probably on his back too was a Lichtenberg scar, on his left arm there was bruising indicating blood draws, overall he looked like he had been in a few fights in the past due to healed scrapes and cuts visible from the scars.

Most concerning though was the still open and bleeding 'Y' shaped incision starting at his shoulders meeting just before the bottom of his ribs and stretching about an inch below his belly button.

"Sorry..." he muttered before passing out.

Rosemarie froze, looking at the blood dripping out of him and then to the open door.

She slammed the door shut and leaned against it catching her breath.

"Rose?" The sound of footsteps pounding up the stairs, "Rosemarie?" Edward pounded on the door, " Rosemarie, what happened- why did you yell?! Are you okay?!"

"I- I'm fine I'm not hurt," she swallowed and spoke to the door.

"I will come in there, don't lie to me," Edward called back.

"You don't want to, there's a lot of blood here and a very injured person." She glanced back at the boy on her desk.

"didn't you kill him earlier this month?"

"It's not Robert, it's a kid he fell through a portal and landed on my desk," she stood up and walked back over to him, "he's in bad shape. I'm going to throw together a healing spread. Can you get me some lavender and daisies from the garden, drop them at the door, and wait downstairs?" She grabbed some bowls and jars full of herbs, opened a cupboard, grabbed eclipse and celestial water, and placed them on the floor since her desk was occupied, "I can't deal with you throwing up and try to save this boy."

The faint sounds of Edward rushing down the stairs were followed by the vigorous tapping of Prophet at the window. Rosemarie threw a hand in the air opening the window before dropping to her knees and pouring the waters into the bowl sprinkling various herbs in. Soon enough Prophet started tapping at the door indicating the other ingredients arrived. Rose got up and grabbed the flowers, crushed them, and dropped them into the bowl, she then turned to Prophet.

"May I have a feather?" She asked.

The raven gave a nod and reached back to pluck one of her feathers then handed it to Rosemarie and fluttered up near the boy.

Rosemarie placed the feather in the bowl and then hovered her hands over it, slowly the mixture started to boil and the ingredients dissolved, thickening the mixture and turning it a brownish purple.
