Chapter One: What'd you say?

I woke up and daddy wasn't next to me. I walked downstairs and everyone was sitting in the living room looking concerned. "What's going on?"

"Ellie, can you let Elena out please?" Alice looked nervous and if she asked me to let Elena out, I knew she had a vision of something alarming they needed to discuss with me.

"Okay, what's going on because you guys are freaking me out right now."

"I had a vision."

"I figured that much you never ask me to come out."

"Isabella is returning to Forks and she is a vampire now. She had a nomad change her, I don't know how she knew what a vampire was but she's coming for you specifically and as a newborn she is very strong and fueled by her emotions."

"What did you just say?" I knew what she said but I couldn't believe it. I don't understand how she could have found out anything about the supernatural let alone convince a nomad to change her.

"Did you contact the wolves? They need to know of the danger Forks will be in she might not be coming alone."

"Elena, she's coming after you. Why are you worried about Forks?" Rosalie seemed annoyed that I wasn't focusing on myself. It's not that I'm not aware of the situation it's just easier to focus on anything else at the moment. I didn't want to believe that my sister would go to this length.

"Alice, are you sure of what you saw?"

"Elena, I saw her vision as it happened. Isabella is a newborn and she was talking to someone about coming here and killing you. She believes that if she gets rid of you with her new status she can join our family." I nodded my head understanding what he was saying.
Suddenly I felt my whole body shaking. I knew what this meant I needed to get out of the house so I didn't accidentally hurt someone. I could feel Jasper sending calming waves towards me but it wasn't working. I ran out of the house just in time. As I shifted I began running towards the rez. I let out a howl so everyone knew it was important. I pushed myself to go faster than I ever had before. I shifted back into my human form as I reached Sam and Emily's house. Everyone was there and they all looked worried. I can't blame them I've never howled for them before so they knew something was wrong.

Jasper's POV

When Alice told us of her vision I had to keep Major at bay. He wanted nothing more than to hunt Isabella down himself and kill her. He knows how to kill newborns and he was more than willing to kill the person threatening his mate. Emmett was just as ready. I don't understand how Isabella was able to get a nomad to change her. Most would have just ignored her offer and killed her. She must have offered him something. I don't know why she thinks we will allow her to join our family if she kills Ellie. When she tries she will be killed on the spot. Honestly, we could just report her to the Volturi especially if we can find the nomad who killed her. To knowingly target someone's mate is a crime. We could just let them kill her but what's the fun in that?

I promised my princess I would keep her safe and I never would have imagined I would have to kill her sister to do so. I know she is not defenseless but Isabella is a wild card as a newborn. As she ran out of the house and howled we could all hear her pain, fear, and anger. And I could feel all of it.  

Elena POV

"Let's go inside and sit down. Is Emily home?"

"Yeah, she is. What's going on Lena?" Paul looked nervous as he spoke. I just walked towards the house. Emily greeted me with a hug but she didn't say anything. I sat down at the large table. I waited for everyone to sit down.

"I need you all to promise me right now that you will stay here until I finish talking. I don't want to have to explain it again. Once will be too much on its own."

"Just tell us what's going on."

"No. You have to promise me first all of you no running off and phasing mid-explanation." I looked at all of them so they understood. Emily sat down next to me and grabbed my hand in a comforting gesture.

"We promise all of us do." It was Paul who spoke up I was most worried about him. They all said some form of agreement and waited for me to start talking.

"This morning Alice had a vision and it wasn't good. Isabella is returning to Forks but she's not the same." I looked around at all of them trying to gauge their reactions. Jacob and Paul seemed to be the only ones picking up on what I was suggesting.

"Stop beating around the bush. Ellie just tell us you're only delaying the inevitable and we need to know so we can figure out how to help." This time Leah spoke up shocking me we've never really had a relationship and I'm not sure why.

"Isabella is a newborn vampire and she is coming to Forks to kill me. She found a nomad vampire and somehow convinced them to change her. I don't know how she figured out what vampires are and I don't know if she knows about you guys but I wouldn't be surprised. I don't want you to worry about me. I just need you guys to protect the rez and Forks because she probably won't be traveling alone."

"What the fuck! This is some kind of sick joke, right? It's not funny Ellie."

"I wish I was joking Jake. Don't worry about me though."

"Don't give us that don't worry about me bullshit. Elena, you mean the world to us and you have a newborn vampire after you. Our literal purpose for existing is to kill vampires and one of the most important people in our lives is being targeted by one. You think we're going to ignore that?" Sam looked pissed at me for being so nonchalant about it.

"You sound like Rose. She was mad that I wanted them to look after Forks."

"I don't know how you're so calm about this. You just found out your sister is a newborn vampire and that she is on a mission to kill you. Why aren't you freaking out?"

"Why should I freak out it's not going to change anything. If she tries to kill me not only does she have to get through you guys she has to get through the Cullens and Jazzy's alter ego Major could take her by himself and you seem to forget I'm not defenseless anymore either and she doesn't know that. She thinks I'm human, I have the element of surprise.
