Chapter Six: Reunion

"They're close."

"Who's close princess?"

"Sophie's family Ali. They're going to be here any minute."

"How do you know?"
"I can see them walking through the forest silly. We should go downstairs they're about to get here." I grabbed Ali's hand as I began walking downstairs. Sophie was with her mommy and daddy going over her rules.

"Hello, princess I thought you were playing with Ali. Are you already bored?"

"No, Sophie's family is about to get here and I figured I would say hi when they get here."

"Are you sure princess? They said they were going to be here later tonight."

"I can see them walking through the forest."

"What do you mean you can see them."

"Look outside they're right there. I did have a vision earlier though and could see them walking towards the house well they were running but you get it." Everyone was still looking at me I don't get the shock this is not the first time it's happened.

"Well, I am going to go greet our guests."

"We have talked about this before Elena, you can not answer the door by yourself."

"Technically I'm not answering the door because they have not knocked or rang the doorbell. I am simply meeting them at the door and everyone just saw them approaching the house so you know who is here already."

"You better watch your tone little one. Now come on." I started skipping towards the front door. This time I was excited to meet the Volturi because I have seen how I am going to create connections with them through Sophie.

"Why are so excited Lena?"

"What do you mean Jazzy?"

"You are grinning and skipping towards the door like these are your long-lost best friends. Last time they were here you were terrified to leave my side. You've seen the future again haven't you?" I looked back and just shrugged my shoulders. I could just tell him what I saw but where's the fun in that? 

"Hello, guys. Come in Sophie is upstairs right now but I'm sure she'll be down any second with Rosie and Emmy. I will warn you the pack is here but they won't cause any issues as long as you don't. With me around you guys won't feel that threatened by each other anyway and you won't be able to smell each other so you don't have to worry about that." I held the door open waiting for them to enter. They all just stood there shocked I'm not sure why though.

"Geez, you guys don't have to stand there like that. Why does everyone keep getting that look on their face?" Jazzy swatted my butt. "What was that for?"

"Watch your tone when you're speaking to your elders. Sorry, she has had a bit of an attitude today." He directed the last part towards the Kings. I don't think I did anything wrong I'm tired of everyone staring at me like I'm an alien.

"How did you know we were going to be here? We told Sophie we would be much later than this."

"I had a vision of you running through the woods to get here and then I saw you walk through the trees." I was trying not to have a duh tone in my voice because I am not trying to get in trouble but everyone is being so annoying today. I looked towards Caius and he had an amused expression on his face.

"Jasper I can see you have got quite the handful."

"Well, she's usually not like this but today she has been very annoyed for some reason." Crap I forgot he can feel my emotions.

"I see, well maybe we should go inside so that we can get to the bottom of this situation." Did I not just invite them all inside? I turned around and began walking up to my room. "I'll be down in a second I am going to go change out of this." I went upstairs towards Jaz and I's room I could feel him following behind me. As I made it in our room he closed the door.

"What is going on with you? Don't lie either."

"Honestly Jazz, I am tired of everyone second-guessing everything I do or say. When I first started getting the visions I understood the shock after you all explained how they weren't just dreams. But it's been months and every time I have one everyone always brushes me off like I don't know what I'm talking about so I stopped talking about them. But then when I don't share them everyone gets frustrated and I can't seem to win. I feel like a freak. I didn't ask to have these visions or their variations. I am just exhausted all the time. First, we had Ahiga trying to kill me and we dealt with that. Now my crazy ass sister wants to kill me and thinks if she does she will have some kind of in with you guys. Now I have dragged Sophie's family into this because once again I can't protect myself. I have all of these abilities and I am still the weakest person in the room." As I finished my rant I could feel the tears streaming down my face. I felt Jaz come over and wrap his arms around me.

"Baby girl you are not a freak and I apologize that I ever made you feel that you were. You are amazing. You are smart and one of the kindest people I have ever met. You are beautiful and I love everything about you." He lifted my head up and wiped my tears from my face. "You are not weak you are one of the strongest people I know. It's okay to need help. You don't have to do it all alone and we don't expect you to. We are your family we would all lay down our lives if it meant protecting you. Elena, you are too precious for this world. You have already survived so much more at your age than most do in a lifetime and you didn't let it break you. You chose to keep going and to not allow other people's actions deter you from being yourself and protecting your happiness. You saved me princess. You taught me  about something I didn't know I needed you changed my life for the better and I will eternally be grateful to you for that. I love you so much princess and I don't want you to ever think otherwise. And if you have another day where you feel like this tell me what's going on. You don't have to bottle it up and you shouldn't because then no one can help you. Now let's go talk to everyone about your visions okay." I nodded my head as Jazzy wiped the last of my tears.  

"Can I change first? Its getting hot in the onesie." 

"Of course what do you want to wear?"

"One of your shirts and a pair of shorts please." I saw him go into our closet and when he came back he had my favorite shirt of his in his hands. Its a long sleeve white shirt nothing special about it besides the fact that it's the shirt he was wearing the day I met him I know super cheesy that that's my favorite shirt but that's okay. He helped me change and then carried me downstairs. He sat down on the couch and turned me around on his lap so that my back was to his chest and I was facing everyone.

"I would like to apologize for how I've been acting today. I wasn't trying to be rude or give anyone attitude but sometimes the way you guys react to my visions makes me feel like a freak. I know you don't mean to but when I tell you guys about one and you dismiss it or just stare at me that's how it makes me feel. And I've been stressed about the whole Bella situation even though I try to play it off. I did have a vision of the Volturi coming to help us because Sophie asked them to but that's all. I don't know if they find her, or if she will hurt me or someone else and I feel weak. I know she's been watching me and my biggest fear is that she'll hurt one of you to get to me. I just feel stuck." 

"We didn't mean to make you feel like a freak sweetheart. When you tell us about a vision I am not judging you or trying to dismiss what you see but I am fascinated by it. The fact that you can see things as they are happening is amazing and I am truly sorry for ever making you feel otherwise." 

"I feel completely silly now because none of you were thinking what I thought you were."
"This is why we talk about our feelings instead of bottling them up."

"I guess." Everyone chuckled at that and I felt like part of the weight had been lifted off of my shoulders. There was still the whole Bella situation and I wouldn't be able to feel at peace until she was dealt with.
