Criminal ace

Chapter 1

I woke up to the smell of bacon and a sizzling noise. I groggily turned off my alarm clock the smell and sizzle immediately stopped. I sighed and stared up at the plain grey ceiling, I thought to myself why is the alarm this? To remind us of the life we'll never have again? My alarm went off again, the sizzling didn't make my thought's better and the smell made me wish I had breakfast in bed.

Your probably wondering why i'm telling you this stuff. Well your going to need a huge background to understand. My life isn't normal, not since the test.

I used to have a normal family, a so called normal life with my loving parents and my older brother. They were perfect. Little did I know that I would be losing them sooner than I could imagine.

The day started off seemingly normal with my dad waking me, he wore a classy suit with a burgundy tie and his hair was slicked back. I didn't recognize him at first. I only realized it was him once he said "Ace come on, you should have slept last night. Now get up before I leave you here, i'm not as forgiving as your brother" His deep voice reberverated off the walls, that's the only way I knew it was him, his voice was always reconizeable, no matter the situation.

I groggily sat up, bringing my hands up to my eyes and rubbing the sleep out of them.

"Its just a stupid math final."I grumbled as he left my room.

As I watched him leave I noted something, He was wearing a suit as if he was going to go work in a cubicle. My father didn't work, neither of my parents did, they had alreadly retired and from what I beleived, they weren't planning on working again anytime soon.

I squinted at my doorway as I heard his footsteps slowly decend the stairs.

I yawned and I quite literally rolled out of bed. I threw on a black AC/DC shirt, some loose fitting jeans and my favorite black Nikes.

I looked at myself in the mirror and smiled, before walking out of my room, down the hall and the stairs, and into the kitchen.

My mom was in the kitchen making breakfast, pancakes,waffles, french toast, you name it she was probably making it.

I grabbed a already made waffle and shoved it in my mouth. I walked over to the door and pulled the waffle out of my mouth "Bye mom! Love ya!" I smiled. 

 My mom looked up at me and gave me a weak smile, her eyes had a sadness in  them that I couldn't comprehend.  "I love you honey... good luck" She said sadly then looked  back at the stove. 

I paused at the door, my back pressed against it, the sizzling bacon was the only thing you could hear. I was confused, why was my mother sad all of a sudden? I jumped as I heard a honk coming from outside. I sighed "Bye mom! Remember to pick me up!" I said the opened up the front door and ran to the car.

My father was sitting in the front seat, he was sitting up straight and was tapping his fingers on  the steering wheel impatientley. 

I groaned in annoyence as I quickly ran over to the car and hopped in the backseat.

I sighed as my dad pulled out of the driveway and drove to me school. 

I looked out the window and I hummed to myself, random thoughts running through my head: 'Why was Leo Valdez in my dream? Calypso and Leo aren't meant for each other. Percy was so close to dating Calypso. Is Percabeth a good ship? Luke is a pedophile. I bet Luke was super hot in real life. I feel bad for Selina. I can't belive Charlie went boom. The Percy Jackson show was actually so bad, I mean better than the movies but still bad. I should start watching Loki. Sophie said Loki was really good. Ew I have to take a science final after my math one. Oh but I have a A+ In calculus 1. Ew this math final is going to be so hard. Ooh maybe I'll see my crush. That's a lie I wont. But maybe I will. Are they in smart kid math? Period 1, French, Period 2, crap what's their period 2? Oh! its Engineering. Period 3, History, Period 4, English, Period 5, P.E, Period 6, Guitar, Period 7, Science, Period 8, Math. Mhhh I don't know what math they're in though..... Oh! They're in Kats math class, shes in... oh... Algebra 2, So I guess I wont  be seeing them. Oh! I should really catch up on Carmen Sandiego. I'm still sad that Carmen basically ghosted Crackle though, they are such a ship. Oh my gosh, Paper Star is so c-" I was cut off by the car coming to stop.
