[hehehe... angst >:3]

(No TWs for this one!! There are like 2 swear words in here, but that's it! This oneshot should be longer than the others! Enjoy, my beloved readers. <3)

(In this oneshot, Jay is Alex's childhood best friend. Jay has had a crush on Alex for a really long time. He's always wanted to confess his feelings to Alex, but he was too afraid.)

It was 2PM. Jay was sitting at a table inside a cafe, sipping his hot chocolate. He was waiting on Alex to show up since Jay had something important to tell him. The whole time Jay couldn't help but stare outside through the window, anxious for Alex to show up. He knew Alex was a little busy, but he couldn't wait any longer. He had been thinking about this moment for so long, he just wished Alex could hurry.

After about half an hour of waiting, Jay's phone vibrated. Alex had texted him. Jay picked up his phone and looked at it. "Sorry, can't come today. Something important came up." the message read.

Jay let out a sigh of disappointment. He put his phone down on the table and frowned a little. He wondered what came up that was so 'important' to Alex that made him cancel his plans with Jay.

When Alex was about to go meet up with Jay at the cafe, his friend, Hazel had came to his apartment unannounced. She had something important to confess, her feelings for Alex. And when she did, Alex accepted her confession, which made him cancel on Jay and spend time with his beloved Hazel instead. They spent the rest of the day hanging out and being little lovebirds while Jay ended up going home, spending his day alone without the man he loved the most. He had messaged Alex "What happened?" but Alex didn't respond.

As Jay was watching TV, he couldn't help but glance at his phone just to see if Alex had responded to his text, and it was no surprise when he didn't. Jay grew worried, unable to sit still. He eventually got so worried to the point he suddenly got up from the couch, put on his shoes, and went to Alex's apartment without a second thought.

Once he arrived at Alex's apartment, he tried to look through the windows, but he couldn't see in because of the curtains. He let out a sigh before knocking on Alex's door, hoping he was okay. After a minute, Alex opened the door to see a worried Jay.

"Oh! Hey, Jay!" Alex smiled. He then noticed the worried look on Jay's face. "Is... everything alright?" Alex asked, his smile fading.

"U-Uhm, yeah. Everything is fine." Jay replied, his heart pounding in his chest. (that one MH quote... teehee.)

"Babe? Who's that at the door?" A female voice asked, coming from the inside of the apartment.

"Babe..? What the." Jay thought to himself.

"Hm? Oh, it's just my friend, sweetie." Alex replied.

Jay's heart sank. He couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"Oh, Jay, I want you to meet my new girlfriend by the way." Alex said with a smile on his face.

"Girlfriend..?" Jay repeated.

"Yeah! She confessed her feelings for me today and I accepted it." Alex explained as Hazel walked up next to him smiling.

Jay was in complete disbelief. He was the one who was supposed to confess, not her. Jay could feel his heart breaking.

"Hey, I'm Hazel! It's nice to meet you." Hazel greeted Jay with a soft smile.

"I'm uh.. Jay. It's nice to meet you, too." Jay replied, faking a small smile.

Jay felt a twinge of jealousy meeting Hazel. He was trying so hard to be happy for Alex, but he couldn't.

"Well, uh, me and Hazel are gonna go watch a movie now, so... I'll see you soon?"
