Riley

A piece of fry landed on my plate and screams followed. Call it charity but I was the most popular girl in school, everyone knew the name, Riley Walker. My eyes were on my lunch trying to stop pea with my fork, but I wasn't doing a great job and I wasn't even trying. I lost my appetite.

If there was an award for being the most bullied student in the school, I would have a trophy shelf all to myself. The cafeteria was the worst place to be, for me, that is.

Was it sitting in an empty table that made me ache?

Or was it Julian and his friends?

Which was worse?, I couldn't tell.

I was too used to it to care, but those gang never stop trying to ruin the little time I had left in Luna High. At this rate, I would definitely skip prom. I was actually looking forward to prom, not that I would actually show up, but I get to celebrate digging a spot to dump my highschool life and walk away proudly. If it was possible, I would bury it in hell. That's if they don't build a statue of me with 'dummy' crest on my forehead.

In a split second, I dodged the meat ball heading right for my face. That was close, its the 3rd times this week and its Wednesday! And I happened to wear my favourite white crop top. I sighed and turned back to my food, I couldn't even rest my elbow on the table, it was failed with scattered food.

"Hey!, that's not the thank you we deserve!"

"Yeah, free food"

"You won't go to the streets today"

Laughter followed.

Everyone seem to think it's funny. Or maybe I was the only one who heard them say that line countless of times. Geez, move on.

It was so unexpected when the biggest jerk threw another meatball at me, this time I didn't dodge. A huge laugher filled the hall, making it vibrate. I made a sick face when I saw my shirt, i was literally releasing smoke. Jul laughed till his eyes watered, this made my nerves relax. How did it ever come to this?, my best friend treating me like trash. I almost shed a tear.

Keyword, almost.

I wouldn't give them what they want, I wouldn't react rationally either, I was bigger than that. I got up and disposed the tray, leaving the halls with chanting voices.

Yes, I was popular, but not all fame was perfect.
