(It was a nice, wonderful day in Wagstaff City. Everyone was having a great time. Inside Helen's house, the gang were switching through channels on the TV.)
Martha: What is something fun to watch on this TV?
Skippy: I don't even know! It doesn't seem to be on any of these stations!
Helen: Keep looking.
Dan: Ah, you're goin' too slow. Lemme take the wheel.
[Dan rapidly presses the channel button, and the channels and commercials rapidly change]
PJ: It's too fast! How can you even tell what's on?
Dan: I can tell.
[Dan keeps changing the channels even when the Smiling Critters cartoon appears]
All: S-M...
Tom: There it is! Go back!
Martha: Back! Back! Back!
Dan: Too late, I'm in the 40s. Gotta go 'round the horn. It's faster. [He keeps pressing until it reaches the Smiling Critters cartoon, and the gang stop him quickly before he can change it again]
Slyvester: Suffern Succotash! I never seen this before.
Helen: It must be a new cartoon that's live.
Unknown: "What's the time?"
Children: "Playtime!"
(Then the screen shows the Smiling Critters cartoon.)
All: "S-M-I-L-E everyday!"
KickinChicken: "When you are down and out,"
Bobby BearHug: "No need to frown and pout!"
Bubba Bubbaphant: "The Smiling Critters' sure to show a"
All: "S-M-I-L-E everyday!"
PJ: You know, this could be a good show to watch.
Skippy: Yeah, I can't wait to see what this epsiode's about.
(The intro ends and then shows the episode's title. It was titled: "Bedtime Sleep". Then it shows DogDay's house as the wind was blowing heavily as it then shows the inside of the house as we see the seven critters inside.)
(wind howling, clock ticking)
Bobby BearHug: The wind's really scary..."
*Tree branch snaps*
CraftyCorn:*screams* "I can't sleep!"
DogDay: Hey, we'll be okay, guys! I promise! All winds blow away... eventually."
*Door knocking*
*Door creaks open, wind clears*
(The door opens to reveal Catnap standing in the doorway with a big smile on his face.)
CatNap: Hey guys, am I late?
(The other critters give the same smile on their faces.)
All: CatNap!"
Skippy: So, is that supposed to be a cat?
Helen: He is a cat.
