It's raining. And it has been for some while now. A large storm has rolled in throughout Octo Canyon, causing all kettles to shut, in order for rain not to pour in.

Within Octo Canyon, lay a small, haphazardly built shack. It looked like it had seen much better days, and could use a fix-up. Outside of the cabin stood an Inkling. However, this was no ordinary Inkling. This was Agent Four.

Four had been here many times. Often, it was a place of celebration, a place of gratitude and happiness. Now, however, it only provided sorrow.

A few years ago, the rest of the New Squidbeak Splatoon had told Four that they were going to the Splatlands, and that they needed to hold down the fort and make sure nothing bad happened.

Four let out a slight chuckle. "So much for that." A few years into their absence, all communication between Four and the rest of the NSS cut. Four had tried to get the communication lines back up, but couldn't seem to reconnect to the main servers the NSS used. It was almost as like they didn't want Four to establish contact with them again.

Four had often tried to live up to the expectations of their coworkers, but often felt as if they were looked down upon, treated like a child who didn't know any better than to run around, causing unnecessary chaos. And while they did enjoy that, they only did it because she thought other people liked it, thought it was silly.

Once the NSS had left for the splatlands, Four didn't know what to do with herself. She had tried to keep Octavio contained, but once she came to Tentakeel Outpost, only to see shattered pieces of glass, she quickly gave up. She tried to keep herself busy.

It had been a full eight years now since she had heard a peep from the NSS. Four was, to be blunt, extremely sad, frustrated, and out of patience. She was done with waiting. She was done with submitting useless reports of the goings on of Octo Canyon that she knew none would read.

This was going to end right here, right now.

Grabbing a few gas canisters used to power Sheldon's truck, Four doused the entire cabin in oil. Opening a match box, they readied their throw.

"This is for not even telling me where you were going." They threw one match into the cabin.

"This is for cutting comms with me when you knew I was in a volatile state." She threw another match with much greater force.

"And THIS, IS FOR LEAVING ME ALONE!!!"
The cabin burst into flames.

Content with her work, Four left through the manhole cover.

She had never felt more relieved in her entire life.
