Idol singers are currently flourishing within the music industry. Although you can state there is a “flood” of them (within the industry), the debut of rookie idols does not mean it’s (nearing) the end. All idols are proud of themselves believing they each “have some skills and good looks”. But among those idols, who is the best? For Sports Dongan’s 5th anniversary, we conducted a survey asking those idols who was the “best idol”. The survey consist of 5 categories including best vocalist, best rapper, best dancer, best uljjang (best visual), most talented, etc and a total of 70 idols participated.

G-Dragon & CL, Best Rapper

BIGBANG’s G-Dragon and 2NE1’s CL had an overwhelming amount of support and were chosen as the country’s best male and female rappers among the idol stars.

G-Dragon obtained 33 votes, significantly more than Block B’s Zico (with 18) and BIGBANG’s TOP (with . Miss A’s Suzy stated “G-Dragon rap just has something special about it” and FT Island’s Choi Jong Hoon said “I can definitely feel that he (GD) has his own color in his songs”.

CL received 34 votes and also easily trumped over Brown Eyed Girls’ Miryo (11 votes) and EXID’s LE (11 votes). KARA’s Kang Jiyoung praised CL saying, “her rap is filled with her own distinctive feel and she has an addictive voice color”. U-KISS’ Dongho also praised CL saying, “she’s a rapper overflowing with swag (style and personality)”.

Note that CL also came 2nd in “Most Talented” category. 4Minute’s Hyuna received 13 votes, whereas CL received 11.
