„Kai you will have to go to detention today, for picking up a fight!", the teacher joins the scene. Dowon was giving him a mischievous smile, when the teacher begins to talk again: „And you will join him Dowon", his smile immediately fades and he gives the teacher a glance in disbelieve, „I wanted a friendly game of football and your overly aggressive style of playing has put your classmates in a dangerous position, it is not about winning, but playing safe and having fun.

After school...

POV. Kyungsoo

„I am so ready to go home!", Sehun says in a yawn, „Yeah, I am also roasted!", Baekhyun agrees while slowly walking towards the school gate. I was having a hard time keeping up with the others because my muscles were still numb, and my ankle still hurts a bunch, which I haven't told the others, otherwise they would be worried sick about me, and they will never stop to treat me like a little kid. As soon as I focused once again to the conversation, I realized something odd. The conversation has gone silent, so I raised my head to face the others and was confused, the others were staring  at me, as if I have done something wrong. I cleared my throat and was about to speak, when Chen beat me to it: „What is it?" „What is what?", I asked confused. „You were totally in your thoughts and everytime you act like this, you are either hiding something from us or lying to us.", Chen said calmly. „That's not true!", I quickly defend myself earning unimpressed faces by the others. „Kyungsoo, we love you but you are lying and keeping things from us all the time. Just this morning you were telling us that you aren't uncomfortable anymore in school, when you clearly are. That's nothing bad but you make it harder for us to help you." „And don't forget the two or three times you tried to run away.", Tao casually joins the conversation „Or when you...", „Ok, I get it you can stop now!", I interrupt Baekhyun, „It's not a big deal, I just feel bad, that Kai has gotten detention because of me.", it wasn't a lie, I really felt awful about that, I just wasn't telling the whole truth that my ankle was still killing me. „That's all? Don't worry about it, it wasn't your fault and Kai won't face anything serious because of it.", Chanyeol gave me an encouraging smile and we moved on with the conversation. Just short before exiting the school I asked:„Guys can I, before we go, make a stop at the toilets?", I asked and the others nodded, so I run of towards the school toilets, before someone gets the brilliant idea that he has to go with me. 

As soon as I entered the toilet, I locked myself in the first stall and checked my ankle. I was shocked when I saw how swollen and blue my ankle had gotten. „As soon as I get home I have to put a bandage on.", I thought, when I heard the door open and I was confident one of the others has followed me. Immediately I put my sock and shoe back on, and with that I flush the toilet as an alibi and head out prepared to greet, whoever has followed me. To my surprise it wasn't any of the others but Dowon and a two of his "goons". I try to pass by them unfortunately they weren't allowing me to leave and before I knew I was pressed against a stall door. Both my hands were pressed against the door by Dowon his 'friends', and my body was filling with fear. „Please let go of me!", I said, trying my best to hide the immense fear I felt, the type of fear I haven't felt since I became part of EXO and the fear I wished to never feel again. With that I felt an extrem pain, Dowon has punched me in the stomach, I whimper and if I wasn't held by the others, I would now lie on the floor, my body wasn't prepared for another hit just  yet but Dowon, doesn't care about, if I am ready or how I reacted to the first punch, because one after another punch meet my stomach, my tears were running down my cheeks and my vision became blurry. „That's for being a worthless being! Just between us...", he moves closer towards me, „Since you became a part of EXO, they are all looking so incredible annoyed and miserable, I think they are pretty angry that the Codex-Keepers assigned them with the task of taking care of you until you are 18 and I can't blame them, they are a respected and feared pack, you are destroying their reputation.",  even though it probably sounds stupid, this has hurt  more than all the punches beforehand, were they really just assigned with taking me in? Am I a burden to them...
