The special age of 4, the age where 80% of the population of the world would get special powers called quirks. In another universe, our main character would of been of the "unfortunate" 20%.
But here, Izuku Midoriya has a quirk, and an especially unique one at that. One that was quite crumbly and useful. Enough of that though, this is the start of a story, about an average boy, uncovering just how these powers can help him achieve his dreams, of saving people and becoming a hero.

He slipped, it was simple. Or it should of been.
They were all just prancing behind his self proclaimed best friend, Kacchan (Katsuki Bakugo) in a line across a bridge.
While you may of assumed Izuku slipped into a puddle or some mud, he slipped off the bridge and into the river. Now this would of been fine, if not slightly inconvenient. But Izuku Midoriya was 5 and unlucky. He fell.
Izuku's first reaction at the time was to try and flail around, trying to get up to the water's surface as fast as he could. There was just one, itty bitty teeny tiny problem. He couldn't move, his body seized up and just would move no matter what, it was like watching his body on it's own ignore him and his brain!
His body started feeling bloated, but it didn't look like it! It also felt like cookies... whenever you left then in milk for too long, or how instant noodles would expand in hot water.
It was cold, numbing, and stinged a little, he hadn't cared then, but he was really starting to now. It was like touching really hot water which stung, but the same feeling constantly.
Ah. He was starting to feel a bit woozy now. Dizzy. Hey was it just me or was it starting to go dark-
"WFOOSH" That was loud, it snapped him out of it. Oh is that Kacchan? It is, it really is! And!-
'Izuku!' It's what he hoped Kacchan said, he couldn't tell, he could only assume from faintly reading his lips.
But the water was weighing him down, down, down to the earth, and he inhaled the water which was imprisoning him. Then the world went blank.

Izuku was unconscious when his friends start panicking, pacing around, Tsubasa and the others burst into tears when he poked Izuku with a stick but he couldn't get up nor moving a muscle.
They are near the park, so the panicked yells were soon heard by the adults and children nearby, spreading the crying. Yet they wouldn't stop coming. The adults would either hush and cover the ears of their kids, or everyone would crowd the small group.
