There are moments when there are no words for what you are feeling and if you would try, it would never truly reveal how you feel. This is one of those moments.

My necklace. It's gone. I jumped into the Twilight Zone with it... and somewhere in this in-between, it disappeared... and that's not the only thing that disappeared.

"She's... gone?" Axil breathes in disbelief before turning on John with a rage I've only seen in my nightmares.

For a moment I am surprised. John makes no effort to move out of Axil's way. No. He plants himself firmly into the snowy ground letting Axil charge at him. Once Axil stands right in front of him he pushes at his arms, trying to knock him over.

"Axil!" I scream, but my voice is of no use. He continues to push and shove at John, but John is a lot stronger than he looks. We've all underestimated him. He may not be the monster we all thought him to be, but that doesn't make him a saint. I run for him. Both of them and I don't know what my plan is. To push Axil away or push John out of the way. Either way, I run in between them and brace myself.

Axil's hand collides with my arm before he pulls back his strength.

"C- Crista!" he stutters, looking at his hands as though he doesn't recognize them. "I'm sorry. I - I didn't mean-"

I shake my head letting out a deep breath. I catch John's face out of the corner of my eye as he glares at my cousin. Normally I would feel irritated at their clear dislike towards each other, but this time I'm too stunned. Never has Axil laid a hand on anyone.

I've had to stop him. We all have. Lucy and I. But I never thought he'd actually throw his hands. That's not how the king raised him to be. That's not how the Prince of Lumbridge should act. Nonetheless how the future King of Lumbridge should act.

"What- what happened?" Axil asks disheveled as I cradle my arm. John is at my side, his hand over my forearm, glaring daggers at Axil.

"She's gone," he murmurs under his breath.

"What?" Axil asks dangerously, having heard perfectly well what John said.

John rises to his full height and looks down upon Axil, the life in his eyes nowhere to be found. "I said she's gone."

"How could you possibly let this happen?!" Axil yells and his chilling voice echoes throughout the icy cave. "You said she was here. You came rushing to my door saying she was waking up. I told the whole palace that she was alive and we would bring her home!"

John's eyebrows furrow even deeper. "Change of plans," he says nonchalantly and his casualness surprises me. I take a second to look into his eyes. A fraction of my magic reaches out to me. Nothing like it used to feel, but a hint of a whisper. Yes, there is worry in his eyes, but nothing like I would expect. No, he looks almost as if he's been preparing himself for this argument as if he knew this would happen... but that would mean-

"Change of plans!" Axil repeats and I brace my arms between them again before Axil decidedes to really have a fight. All of a sudden, he looks as though something inside of him clicked into place. The piece to a missing puzzle. "You did this!"

"No!" John exclaims backing up.

"You did this and you're going to tell me exactly what happened," Axil advances towards him feraly. "Where did she go?"

"I don't know," John answers crossing his arms over his face in an x.

For a moment my heart aches for him. The look on his face as Axil comes closer and closer... the tone of his voice... it no doubt reminds him of his mother. Eden. The vile woman who started all of this.
