Y/n had been at the precinct for hours. She wouldn't talk and the lieutenant refused to give her a lawyer.
The Lieutenant had one of two options... give Detective Kang her case back with her own terms... or have Y/n lawyer up and never get anything out of her.
"She's not talking," The Lieutenant told a fed-up Haerin.
Haerin was only at the precinct, doing her paperwork, to make sure that her dad didn't try to pull anything. She needed to create detailed paperwork to make sure it couldn't be refuted or used against Y/n.
"You wanted to do it dirty. Now deal with it," Detective Kang didn't even bother to look at her father.
"You were doing things outside of the book, why can't I?" The Lieutenant angrily whispered into Haerin's ear.
"Only that I wasn't," Detective Kang gave her father a death stare.
"Do you really think I'm that bad at my job?" Haerin closed the file in front of her.
Haerin might have been involved in all of the mess, by accident at that, but everything was documented from her perspective. She had made sure that there was not a single detail that she missed.
It might not look right to everyone else...
But it was from her perspective.
Every little thing.
- Y/N POV -
"I understand that you're attempting to reach your lawyer?" Haerin suddenly walked into the interrogation room.
I glared at her a bit skeptical.
For Haerin to be let into the interrogation room meant that they were desperate. They were so desperate that they let in the Pariah of force.
"Attempting? It feels like one should have been appointed to me by now," I scoffed.
I couldn't trust Haerin right now.
Not after she failed to protect me.
"You stated that you have your own. We have contacted them and now we're just waiting for them to show up," The Detective was just doing her job.
I just remained quiet.
"I understand that you're asking for immunity?" Haerin gave me an odd look.
"Excuse me?" I asked a bit confused.
"I know we had a deal of immunity prior to this but I need confirmation of your request for it to be on record," Haerin sighed a bit annoyed.
"Y-yes," I answered a bit hesitantly.
It was hard to trust The Detective when she had a whole platoon ready to jump me.
"What are your conditions?" Haerin bit her lip for less than a second.
I knew then that she hadn't switched sides.
It was hard to believe that she was still on my side after she let her dad practically harass me and almost choke me to death, but she was standing by her word.
