m/n looked at the screen for the umpteenth time in disbelief. he felt a clawing sensation in his throat, as if bile slowly climbed its way up his esophagus, threatening him with a violent outburst.

his knees collapsed beneath him and he plummeted to the ground with a loud thud. grasping tightly onto the chair infront of him, he discarded the device onto the floor as he finally ripped his sight off the screen, heaving and panting heavily, not knowing his breathing had paused momentarily from sheer fear.

"shit, shit, shit..." his thoughts repeated.

"think! think!" he told himself.

he glanced back at the device on the floor, its screen still lit up. he picked it up, fumbling it around his hands as tears uncontrollably dripped down his cheeks to find an opening. when he found one at the side of the device, he screwed it open using his car keys, desperation fueling his speed and forcing the cogwheels of his brain to function at a quicker rate.

when he finally got the opening removed, he's met with a complex set of wires and motherboard as his mind immediately spiraled thinking of a solution.

"my powers..." he remembered, looking at his free hand with a dash of hope.

he placed the device on his table, removing his gloves as he took deep breaths of nervousness. he tried using his newfound powers as he does with teleportation. with closed eyes and a steady breath, he raised a hand, his fingers pointing up. he imagined the water vapour around him change to a liquid state and when he opened his eyes, at least 100 milliliter of water levitated above his fingers.

for a second, he jumped in shock and the liquid above his fingers wobbled along to his fingers which moved when he jumped.

"okay, okay..." he reassured himself, although he knew his nerves would not be soothed, not completely, at least. taking the umpteenth deep breath again, he swirled his hand, seeing as the water moved along in a circle before he pointed his fingers at the device opening, imagining the water entering the device, hopefully damaging it enough.

"freeze," he commanded the inanimate element, and it froze around the motherboard. he looked as the screen slowly died.

he then imagined as small flames burned the inside.

"fire, burn." he commanded, pointing just his index and middle fingers. forgetting to close his eyes, he watched as small flames ignited above the tips of his fingers before flying inside the device, where it danced around the ice.

he quickly wore his gloves again, and placed the opening back into its place, with the fire still twirling weakly. he put the device back into the box and took it into his hands. he made sure he had adorned his disguise again before he took a deep breath.

within seconds, he was back onto the plane. he replaced the empty box on the deputy's lap with the device. when he turned to the curtain where he could hear faint talking now, he saw as a hand reached at the side.

he would be in plain sight of the agents.

"come," he quickly commanded while he motioned his open right hand in a smooth flowing gesture infront of the curtain, envisioning a wall of water between him and the curtain while trying to balance on the plane. the feat proved too hard for him, as just minimal water was conjured to make a height of a few short centimetres, a long way to go before reaching the ceiling. as he struggled, the agent opened the curtain, coming face to face with the disguised m/n.

"who are you?" the agent screamed, bringing his hand to his holster.

bringing his other hand up, he mustered more strength into his two arms, feeling blood rush to his fingertips. "come!" he commanded again, as blood trickled out his nose and stained his mask which made it just significantly harder to catch his breath while sweat glued his shirt to his back.
