"Can I talk to you in the garden for a minute?" Lee asked.
"Sure." I said. I was confused, but followed him out.
"First of all, Happy New Year."
"You too." I smiled at him.
"Second, I just wanted to tell you how much I love you. How much I love being with you. I just want you to be with me for the rest of my life. So Netty," He got down on one knee. "Will you marry me." Ok, I was not expecting this on New Years.
"Are you kidding? Yes!" He slipped the ring on my finger and kissed me. I kissed back. Happy New Year it was, and it had just began.
Squid P.O.V.
When Lee and Netty came back in, she rushed over to the girls.
"So how did it go?" Stampy asked hopefully.
"Did she say yes?" I asked.
"Yes, to both of you." he said happily. We heard the girl start squealing.
"She told them." Stampy said matter-of-factly.
"Yup." Lee looked over and smiled.
