Chapter 2: Exile

A two years have passed since Calia's banishment, 2 weeks later the king died of poisoning and Nero's corination was set just 5 days after the death was Nero planning to takeover Nabine ? Would Calia free her people ? Well one day things would change , One day Calia would take her revenge .

She settled in within the lush valley of green gaurd , Hidden in these mountains was Calia and her small guild she was about 21 now and she has loyal members in her guild , little by little Calia constructed a  small 50 man army . It was not much but Calia's men where skilled in combat they were fast , agile , brave and agile and were capable of pludging into battle . Their base was hidden within the mountains with rough terrian , it was hard to climb and they had high ground and were able to ambush Neros scouts . One day however Calia

received a mysterious letter from  her old friend , Esmeralda  the letter said . " Dear Calia ,
I hope you are doing okay and i hope this letter reaches you , so far the kingdom is in desprate need me , Collin and Matthew are now part of the royal court . The king to-be is planning to enslave the people of Nabine and we will need your help , we promise to always aid you in times of trouble .  
- Esmeralda ." The letter was a bit short and worn-down and a little suspicious but Calia kept the letter and it was stamped with a mysterious symbol Calia didn't know about usually it would be stamped with the Silverwing emblem but it was stamped with a roaring lion and two swords a small name on the bottom of the emblem " House of bronch " strange coming from a nation ruled by obe house when Calia read the letter she was enraged

seeing her people being enslaved
At the hands of the tyrant ruler and she was more determined to return and take what was rightfully hers by blood and decent but Calia would need more than herself and her 50 man army , At about 11:30 night and red and orange aura flashed at the nightsky the scouts and nightwatch were mezmerized  and not long after a huge flock of birds rushed through scared  and then there it was a fire burning down the moutain range but how ? If the fire was eating the mountain range would'nt there

be smoke ? If it was ablaze many hours ago why was there no smoke ? Suddenly the fire got closer and closer . Calia was quick to act fast as she prepared her men but it was already too late the fire engulfed most of the mountain range but it was a miracle some of her army escaped but it took most of everything from her the fire itself was powerful nearly killing all of Calias men but some of them managed to escape the raging fire . The next day the rest of Calias men and her woke up to an entire valley engulfed in ash and

grey , a land that was once green and flurishing with life was now grey and bare , the trees were turned into charcoal the valley was laid to waste and it was no place for anyone to live , word spread and the mass destruction was nicknamed " The great fire of Greengaurd " and so Calias men packed up their surviving belongings and set off to the neighboring free land of Calore and there they were safe and settled camp in the great plains by the hickory hills Calia sent her men to look for resources and supplies that will be useful on their journey and as for the rest camped there for 3 days as the

scouts finally returned one of Calias loyal subjects handed her something wrapped in cloth , " Your lady we found this while gathering supplies , we found it in a very large cave opening in the hills some sort of gem or jewel ."
He said handing it to Calia , she slowly and gently unwrapped the stone covered in cloth, when she did her eyes wideden as to her suprise " This is not an ordinary stone or ore at all !... this is... a dragon egg and just any normal one aswell this belongs to a Scarlet red wing ." As the solider heard this his jaw dropped and so did the other scouts " When you found this DID you see a dragons nest ? " Calia questioned very seriously and in more of a scared tone , " No your lady we did not ."
The solider said  " Did you see any other eggs or colored stones ? " Calia questioned again " No your grace ".   " Any sign of the mother dragon ? Or roaring or any flying creature did you see it ? "     " No we cleared and investigated the area cautiously and with stealth."    It took a minute or two until finally Calia
said " Do we have any big pots or anything we can use to incubate the egg ? "     " Im afraid not but we can keep it safe though ."   Calia then replied to his message " We will keep this a secret and along with the other scouts who were sent on the mission understand ?
