Returning to Hogwarts

RILEY POV

Once Draco and I were back at the castle, we walked towards the Slytherin dorms together. On the way there, we were stopped by two certain red heads.

"What are you two doing?" I asked my brothers.

"We heard you were back and wanted to say hello before Percy caught us," Fred spoke.

"Yeah. The prat hasn't let us out of his sight, worried we will try to find you and talk," George added.

"He what?" I looked at my brother's in surprise. "Are you not supposed to talk with your sister anymore?"

"I think it's just because he is still mad about the whole 'Sibling in Slytherin' thing. I'm sure it will pass soon enough. Can't say the same for Ron, unfortunately." George sighed.

"Little git won't stop complaining. Says he never knew he was sharing his space all this time with a snake and a traitor." Fred grumbled. "He acts like you're not still the same sister we've known our whole lives."

I smiled at them and heard Draco shuffle beside me as he crossed his arms.

"If you two are really so keen about staying on her good side, then why wait until now? Surely, you had plenty of chances in the first half of the school year?"

"Not necessarily. Percy is a bit of a jerk and can get a pretty big head at times," I added. "Thinks he is better than everyone and deserves all the respect. It doesn't surprise me that he wants to keep the others on a short leash so I don't have a chance to 'corrupt' them."

"Exactly," the twins said in unison.

"That's ridiculous. What is it going to be like when you go home?" Draco looked at me in worry.

"No problem there." Fred stated.

"We've talked to the other two good ones of the family. If things get too difficult at home, over the summer. Bill is going to come back and take Riley to his place in Spinner's End that he has for when he isn't on a trip. And Charlie will be visiting every so often when he can get a break from Romania." George smiled.

"We will also be keeping an eye on you at the Burrow. No need for you to feel left out, Little Sis." Fred smiled too before wrapping an arm around my shoulder.

"Thanks, guys." I smiled at them thankfully before we heard someone calling out for them from around a corner. "That sounds like Percy. You better go for now. I'll see you another time."

They hugged me quickly and took off in the opposite direction before Draco and I kept walking to the common room.

"Well that was unexpected." Draco chuckled as we entered the common room.

"Sure was.... But I'm relieved. Knowing I have four of my siblings on my side is always a win. Especially since it's the best four."

"What about your little sister? Think she will have much issue?"

"I don't know. On one hand, I would hope not because I love my sister. We keep each other sane in a house full of boys... But I think my Mum will have something to say about it. Ginny is still young. Who knows what kind of things my parents have been telling her all year?"

He gave me a reassuring pat on the shoulder and we each took off to our own dorms. When the other Slytherin girls saw me enter the room, they flocked around me and we all exchanged quick hugs since we haven't seen each other much.

We all took seats on two of the beds and talked and ate our leftover Yule Sweets until eventually falling asleep in two little piles.

I really do love my friends.

So.... Hoping to start the new year a little better with some updates on stories.....

2023 was.... A shit show, to say the least.

A lot of stuff happened, including my step dad and my grandma both passing away.

I'm still not too great, but I'm trying. Also got my own kitten and am working on making her an ESA so hopefully that goes okay.

Anyways, I'm back on my autistic, Harry Potter, hyperfixations so I will be looking at my stories and alerting when I can. I work a night shift job so I've had time, but no ideas.
