Over the Holidays part 2

RILEY POV-

I was quite enjoying myself at the party. It was mostly pureblood families who arrived and there was elegant sounding music flooding the room as people danced or talked about business. Lucius and Narcissa were in a conversation with the Nott family as Draco and I had found Pansy and Blaise and were striking up conversation next to a refreshments table.

"How has your break been?" Pansy asked with a smile.

"It has been marvelous. I could not have asked for a better place to spend the holidays," Riley smiled back.

"You are welcome to come back anytime you would like. Mother has enjoyed having you around and told me she hopes to see you over Yule break in a future year."

"You sure it was your mom who wants her to come back," Blaise asked with a smirk. Draco sent a glare towards Blaise as Pansy and I chuckled quietly.

"Well hello there you lot," Harry Potter-Black said as he approached us.

"What are you doing here, Potter-Black?" Pansy asked with a sigh.

"My father brought me. He is Mrs. Malfoy's cousin after all." The dark haired boy replied.

"Yes well, i hope you have been enjoying the party," Draco said with an eye roll. Even though he hates the kid, he is still a host and representing the Malfoys. How he acts determines how others see the family.

"Oh don't give me that, Malfoy. We are family whether you like it or not so stop with the eye rolling. Speaking of family, why aren't you with your own, Weasley?"

"Because they seem to prefer your company over my own, Potter-Black." I said with a closed eyed smile.

"And they should. I still can't believe it. A Weasley in Slytherin. Your mother and father are severely disappointed, I hope you know." He smirked before Draco took a step in between Harry and myself.

"Aren't your fathers waiting for you? Or should I refer to them as your godfathers since they didn't have a hand in your birth," Draco smirked at the green eyed boy who glared in return.

"Watch your tongue Malfoy. They adopted me after my parents died because that stupid rat tried to have me killed over a bloody war."

"Too bad he didnt," Pansy smirked as Blaise nodded in agreement.

"I think you've overstayed your welcome in this conversation, Potter-Black." I crossed my arms and watched as the fuming boy turned and left.

"I hate that kid." Draco pouted. The three of us laughed at him before we all went to the middle of the floor to dance, Pansy with Blaise and Draco with myself.

"I hope that didn't ruin the holiday festivities for you," Draco frowned. "He is such a prat bringing up your family like that."

"It's okay Draco. At least I got gifts and letters from Bill and Charlie. If there are two people I can count on to not let me down, it is them."

"What about me, huh?"

"Yes. You too you silly snake," I laughed as we danced.

The party finished a few hours later and once everyone left, Draco's parents complimented us on our behavior and we all went to bed.

The next few days went as fairly normal as thy had been, with the exception of presents and a feast on Christmas morning, and soon Draco and I found ourselves going back to school for another semester at Hogwarts.

Hi guys, sorry for the sudden disappearance. I know I've been gone for way too long but I'm back on my account so hopefully can start updating stories again.

I did notice there were people who adopted my story while I was gone and I want to address that here real fast while I'm thinking about it.

I do not mind people adopting my story since I was gone for so long, however, I had a set plan for the story so this is the official continuation for the story.

I had a bit of a breakdown and then got locked out of my account because it had been so long and have been dealing with wattpad tech support the past couple days. I appreciate the patience.
