" William, are you okay?" Babi softly asked as she walked behind him following him.

William stood , and he breathed out heavily in frustration.

" I am gonna be okay," William calmly said

" Don't take Kim's words to heart , she is only trying her best to be a good friend," Babi said, looking straight in his eyes .

" I know," William sighed.
He looked at her very observant .

" You don't okay yourself, what wrong?" William asked .

" I am all fine," Babi said
" Darnel," she immediately asked.

William looked at her very blank.

" he is not replying to my texts or calls," Babi said
William was silent. He knew what was holding Darnel up but couldn't just say the truth yet .

" it's not on purpose. Lady Scarlet took his phone," William softly said

" You're lying for him," Babi immediately said
" he has two phones, Lady Scarlet is not aware of the second one," Babi added .

William sighed, looking down on his feet.

" Truth is, he is being disturbed by some documents at the tower, and he is kinda ill as well. " William said

" I just don't know why he isn't responding to your calls and texts," William said, looking in her eyes .

Babi heavily inhaled.

" Got it," she quietly said .

" B," William called, grabbing her hand as she walked away 

" I am sure he...."

" You don't have to find excuses for him," Babi said, not giving him a chance to say more .

" Then where are you heading ? Classes are this way," William asked

" Home, I just need to rest and clear my mind," Babi breathed out .
With that , she continued her way.

William remained looking at her very puzzled . Why wouldn't Darnel respond to her calls.

At the tower .
Darnel had been checking through the old documents and every other room where he could think his mother would hide something.

Still a failure in finding something, he walked back to his chambers very disappointed.

He fell on his bed, breathing out heavily in frustration.

His phone started to ring , and he gently pulled it out of this pants pocket with little energy looking at the screen.

"I am starting to anticipate bad news whenever you call me with this number," Darnel said soon as he answered the phone .

" I called with this number trying to make sure you prove me wrong , somehow hoping you don'tanswer it," William said, sounding not pleased at all .

" What are you saying, and why do you sound so pissed at  me?" Darnel asked.

" I don't know what the hell your head is thinking, but it better not tell you to ignore Babi's calls and messages," William said.

Darnel exhaled, sitting up . He didn't have an excuse for that.

" Darnel, she is not fine. She looks drained, and you are just adding to that, " William worriedly said.

" Let me come," Darnel said, standing up already.

" she has left the academy," William said. 
Darnel stood , that surprised and worried him more .

Babi was not the kind yo willingly skip class  , it had to be something big .
