"How is she?"

Veronica asked the Spaniard who just walked out of the ward and he smiled

"she's fine Veronica and you should be too if you want her to be ok" Fernando explained as the two sat waiting for the rest since Seb said he would be coming with the police

"by the way if you don't mind me asking, did Mads and Cheryl never... you know?"

Fernando hesitated but Veronica got where he was going with the question

"no, Cheryl had put a condition before they dated that they would not have intercourse until marriage and he agreed to it" Veronica briefed him and he had more questions but before he could ask Veronica sensed them

"and if your going to ask why, then I'll say why not? She wasn't wrong to want an emotionally stable man who doesn't need sex to be his way of showing love. Cheryl has her reasons but for other men who know what she asks is bare minimum know her kind as well minded woman"

Veronica continued "there's also her reason to it other than just this but it's something she should be saying not me" she ended and Fernando nodded

"I see" was all he could say as he processed the conversation and lately he had been doing that a lot regarding Cheryl

"Nando, Vernie! How is she?" Seb breathed out as he ran to the two people in question and Fernando smiled at him

" she's fine now Seb" and Sebastian stood there as he heaved for a while

"the police is here and they have Mads under arrest, that man is crying there you know making it seem like he is a victim"

Seb sneered and at the mention of Mads, Fernando too fumed

"that fucker!" Fernando whispered trying to keep calm as the officer walked in and asked the doctor if he could talk to Cheryl and the doctor nodded after which the officer entered the room with the doctor.

After ten minutes the officer came out and Fernando stood up along with Seb and Veronica

"So I spoke to the victim and she's going to opt on not continuing the case." The officer sighed and both the men had anger visible on their faces

"what do you mean officer? You saw that he even confessed how can you not throw that man in jail? As for Cheryl she must be on medication that's why she's being stupid!" Seb reasoned but the doctor interjected

"No Mr. Vettel I was there and she was in complete sense when she said that and even when the officer tried to convince her she said to drop the case"

he explained and Seb threw his hands as he went back to sit and Fernando seemed to have now crossed their conversation and enetered the room

"Stop being a fool Cheryl! He deserves to go in jail so why are you dropping the case?" The Spaniard demanded but made sure he did not raise his voice at her

"because he would get out anyways and then this shit would go on in a loop Nando. All I want now is to start fresh and I told the officer to tell him that I'm letting him go so he can do the same and if he tries to enter my life again then it won't be good for him. I called my lawyer to have a contract made for this so Mads will have no choice but to leave me alone."

Cheryl calmly explained and that made Alonso calm down as the plan was not bad "that's fairly good but I would have enjoyed seeing him behind the bars" he added

"so would I Nando" she smiled at him and he nodded before going out and telling the two worried friends about her plan

"shiße that's good in a way!" Sebastian sighed as he understood what Cheryl planned and smiled

"smarty cheri" Veronica chuckled and so did the two men in her company.

2hrs later-

"Guys give me a minute I'll be back!" Veronica said as she ran out the hospital after seeing her phone

"what are you here for you shameless piece of shit!" Veronica cursed as she faced Mads who had called her out

"I just want to apologise one last time before I leave." Mads calmly stated and Veronica pushed him

"you don't fucking deserve coming anywhere close to her after what you did Mads! You just couldn't wait to fuck it all up right? Now don't even try to make things right" she yelled before turning to walk away but mads grabbed her hand and pulled her close

"I know what I did alright, and I know it won't change our drifting apart but I can't live like this Vernie" he placed his hand on her face and stroked it

"please just let me apologise to you" he said and Veronica was confused

"what?" She asked and he smirked a little which she didn't see in the dark

"I knew what you felt for me Veronica, I could see it in your eyes and I knew you were hurting whenever you saw me and Cheri, that's why I made her move away and drop contacts with you so you could focus on yourself." He whispered and Veronica was stunned

"only if you hadn't told me about Cheryl I wouldn't have lasted this long with her but now that it's ended and I've seen how she can just walk away while I did my best to love her, I feel like I don't want to live anymore" he continued as his eyes glossed and Veronica felt bad for him

"stop saying shit like that Mads and get over it! I did like you but-" she was cut off with Mads crashing his lips onto hers.
