Today is one of those mornings that really shook me up.
I got woken up by my phone. It's not my alarm though. It's something else. But it's ringing....
"What is it...." I talked to myself as I went to reach for it to check what woke me up.
It's a call.
Someone's calling me....

It's Maya.
"Maya-chan?! At this hour?!" It's currently 8:03 AM. It's not that early.
I answered her call after clearing my throat so I wouldn't sound like I just woke up.
"Hello...?"
"Ah! Senpai! Sorry for calling you this early, did I wake you up?"
"No... I was... Already up and productive an hour ago haha.... What's up?"
"I uhh.... The shop is closed today right?"
"Well....yeah...."
Today is a Sunday. But the reason why we're closed is because it's my parents anniversary. They close the shop whenever it's their anniversary.
"Anniversary huh.... Sounds like they'll be having fun today"
"Well.... That does sound like what they'll do today.... And tonight....." That last bit was unnecessary, so delivered it in a way where she could barely hear me.
"Sorry, what was that last bit?"
"Nothing!!! You can forget about it!"
"Okay....."

"I was wondering if you had any plans today...."
Wait.... Maya is asking me? If I have plans today? But why?
"I don't have any plans today... Why?"

"Oh? I'm down. Is anyone else coming?"
"No....."
Ohhhh....
OHHHHHH?!?!
WHAT DOES SHE MEAN BY THAT????
"So it'll be just the two of us then....?"
"Yes......." Her reply had a hint of nervousness in her voice. I of course got excited but what that could've meant.
IT'S A DATE!

"Ah! But if you don't like that! I can ask someone to tag along!"
"That won't be necessary! I'd love to go out with you!"

"That's great then! I'll send you the details on when and where we'll meet up via text. Is that okay?"
"Alright then."
"Okay! I'll see you later, Senpai!"
"I'll see you!"
