Me need to get out of this square of green shapes.
Turning around one hundred and eighty degrees and turning my head, I realized that there was a hidden exit behind me all this time. Namely, the space between the trimmed Alicorn and the Scoop. The second one is my favorite magical animal, so when I came out of the square, I admired looking at how clearly the master cut the owl's body, beak and wings, cat paws, tail, ears, eyes.. A real work of art! And I only saw one figure, and if the rest were made with even more zeal by a troublesome craftsman who carves even Owl's plumage? I think he is in demand from the rich owners of large mansions with large gardens.. Although, I think, with such a level, he can only go to the royal palace for a decent assessment of his work.
And then I heard a scream full of annoyance and disappointment.
- There you go! Umbra, why bandaged me like that?! I'm not going to the Frozen Forest, but just to look at the first snow! - Looking out from behind the green statue of my favorite animal, I saw a girl about ten years old wrapped in warm clothes from top to bottom. From under the scarf, which was tightly tied around her head, unruly strands of black hair got out and wildly climbed into the eyes of their mistress.
Next to her was a tall, trim girl, about my age. She did not react to the irritation, apparently, of her ward, but only looked around as if looking for someone.
What if she's looking for me!? But I didn't seem to catch anyone's eye.. I've been standing here all the time, looking at the figures and the sky. Well, I thought about it a little. Just a little bit. Perhaps it was for this "little bit" that I was noticed...
"Aah, why would I do all this!? Well, I did it a little bit, But I don't think I deserved a sudden transfer after three days of recuperation!* The girl screamed to herself. - * So what should I do now? Who are these people? Will they hurt me if they see me? My heart is pounding so loudly.. There was no such thing on missions! Maybe because there were guys around? I'm so short of them now!" I whined, leaning on an artfully carved figure on a stone pedestal.
Distracted for a moment by the swearing couple, I clung to the Dustpan. And immediately I felt it begin to tilt, and then fall. Zealously trying to hold her, I damaged the fragile bush-like body with an incredibly loud crunch of branches. A couple of seconds later, the pedestal split with a thud on the tiles that lined the paths in the garden.
Huh, I'm finished.
Lifting my head, I crossed eyes with the one called "Umbra". Was she seriously looking for me? How nice, there are no words. When did she notice me?
— What are you doing? Why are you here and not in the North Tower? The girl looked at me with narrowed eyes. What?
Apparently she saw my confusion, as she raised one eyebrow and looked me up and down and asked:
— Aren't you a maid?
And then it dawned on me. After I woke up from an unusual dream, a woman came to me who looked after me, and then lent her daughter's clothes. It was her maid costume. God, I want to kiss her and her daughter, they provided me with a pretty good story. But how would you submit it?
—Forgive me, madam, but I don't remember how I got here at all. - The purest truth, not a single lie. - Could you tell silly me where we are now? - My first solo operation was in the palace, and there I was an undercover maid to steal something, and information is never superfluous. That's how all the maids communicated with both the ladies and gentlemen who were above them in status. In theory, I did everything right, but judging by the way the black-haired girl's nanny's face twisted, something did not go according to plan.
— At the moment we are in the "Druadales". And you're from Nomo, aren't you? - Her voice was laced with bile and dislike.
In fact, there is nothing surprising in the fact that I am in the darkest state. Absolutely nothing.
