I walked into the lot looking for Johnny, Our parent's hit us again. It wasn't long before I found my little brother curled up in the lot crying.
"Johnny? you alright?" I asked him.
He looked up at me with his puppy like dark eyes and just stared bleakly at me.
I hugged him as he cried on me.
"It's okay Johnny don't cry..." I comforted him the best I could. For I was the older sister I was 18 going on 19, I knew what our parents were doing was bad, but we took it, even though we should have called somebody. We didn't cause we knew we had the gang on our side.
"We are like their punching bags, Dani and the worst part it they ain't even sober." Johnny said as he let go of me and calmed down.
"I know Johnnycake I know." I looked down. He was right our parents were drunks.
I don't even think they cared one bit about us.But we knew we had the gang. And Johnny and I looked up to Dallas Winston, even though he was cold and tough and mean we knew he cared about us the most. The night Johnny had been jumped by Socs I wanted to sock em real good, and I would have done it too! But Dallas didn't let me, he was my best buddy and he didn't want to see his best girl bud get beat, so he kicked their asses along with the help of the gang. Johnny and I had our friends by our side through thick and thin. We knew the gang was always there for us both.
I looked out into the open blank space of the lot as Johnny and I sat beside the fire. We sat there together just forgetting the world and it's problems. Then we woke up the next morning and went to go visit the gang.
