Chapter 1: The Adventure

Hiccup's POV:

"Wake up you lazy dragon" I said in a playful way "we need to leave now, if we want to go further into the woods" I said as toothless (my dragon) got up, almost dragging himself. We always wake up early because we have the exploring days, the whole weekend, and also I got school, and toothless flies me over to school, so preatty much we wake up early the whole week, 7 days in arrow. But now summer is another story, anyways. Today it's Saturday, and we wake up at 5:00 am just to get ready and leave to explore. It was 5:10 right when we arived to new land "Sweet we have hours and hours of exploring around, I think today is going to be the best of adventure days". You might ask why I said that, here's why, because every day we wake up at 5 and when we end up ariveing to the new land it's already about 8:00 somehow, anyways. Until today we have 3 whole islands discovered that no one knows about, 4 that people live in and about...uh...1/4 of a new one. Me and toothless were walking around when suddenly we heard some noise, like...a fight was going on but we could not fuiger out were it was coming from so I got on toothless and we started flying around the area, the screaming and yelling had stopped. Then something caught my eye, it was from the corner of my eye that I saw a type of impossible but yet good-looking, red-orange, curly, fire hair floating in the wind, and the girl with the fire-color hair was wearing a baby blue dress. I looked at toothless and gave him a signal, he uderstud and landed a few yards away from the girl, about 4-5 yards give or take, plus a little more so we could hide in the trees. She was siting a few feet away from the edge of a cliff, bow in hand, but I could see no arows, she was doing something to the bow, though. I got a little closer hoping to see what she was doing, but could only here her sob, and now I could see more detail on her dress, it was torn from the back, the elbow and it was complitly dirty, the dress also had a little thing around the neck that was golden, and around the waist it had the little golden tracing,too. Ok back to the girl, I could not see what she was doing to the bow, but I could hear her sob and saying 'you just don't understand', then...

Merida's POV:

Ah woke up early in the morning today, jest like any other day. Ah thought that ah was the first one up, but meh mum was up, by the way she looked like ah'm assuming she woke up around 4:30 am, she was siting down at e chair close by to the table, 'nd ah thenk she was mumbling som'thin' . "Mum is ye ok?" Ah asked her in e kinnda worried tone "A Merida you're up! Wh - what are you doing up at this time of the day, you can sleep a cuple more hours, remember you have to wake up at 7, why are you up at 5?" Ah looked down at the floor 'nd then back at her "Ah always wake up at 5... mum" she then nodded 'nd then said "oh, I- you can head back now to were you were going", she said that in e too sweet 'nd not arguing voice. E little strange she would usually ask me teh please stay inside ef what ah was going teh do was explore, but this time she didn't. Well ah got e chance so ah took et. Ah heded outside teh explore more land around the castel.
~Time skip 30 min~
Ah heded teh e hill ah found e few weeks ago, not too far from the castel, ah usually go there teh relax after e few hours/minutes of exploring. Then ah saw meh mum c'min' meh way and ah stud up "Merida I need to te-" ah kinnda cut her off "yes mum" she continued "I need to tell you something important" ah hope this is not about what ah thenk et is about "what of? Ef ah may ask" she struggled e little took e deep breath 'nd said "Merida we all know you are next for the position of queen, now our real question here is 'who is to be the king' and so I send out letters to the clans to bring their first disendent to compite for your hand, and-" Ah cut her off...again, but this time I was furious at her and started screaming "so ah don't get e vote in this things do ah mother? It doesn't matter ef ah'm not ready yet for merrige, now does et mother? Ah have teh do et any ways, because ef some old 'nd non-scence tradition!!!!!" Ah can tell that she got mad too jest by the look on her face "first of all you do not rise your voice to me, Merida, I'm your mother!! And second I need to finish what I was saying!! So please don't cut me off or there'll be consequences!!" Ah looked at her still mad, but trying to control mehself " fine!" Then ah mumbled "but there is no point on finishing" she waited till ah finished mumbling, then continued " now as I was saying, I send the letters out a few weeks ago and all three clans have accepted".... there was silence for 'bout 3 seconds then "woo hoo, ah'm so excited that ah get to get merried, WHEN AH'M- when ah'm not even ready" Ah said in a mad-sarcastic way. "It's not that bad, look I'll give you a heads up about them" Ah really wasn't intrested, but listened anyway "ok, fine" meh mum stared talkin'. "Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the third, son of clan Stoick the Vast, comes from the island of Berk, he has a small scar on his chin, it was left by a dragon when he was a baby, he has forest green eyes, auburn hair parting to his right, and has minor freckles on his cheeks. Snotlout Jorgenson, son of clan Spitelout Jorgenson, comes from Dortoi island, he is related to Hiccup, their cousins, he has freckles and light scars across his face and skin, has some crooked and missing teeth, blue river eyes and brown hair. And Tuffnut Thorston, son of clan Gobber Thorston, comes from Danger island, the pendent on his necklace is a large tooth theydf say came from a dragon, he has a twin, her name is Ruffnut Thorston, he has long blonde hair with a brownish tint at the end, and he has hazel - blue eyes." 'Nd with nothing left teh say meh mum left, 'great, one of the suitors weares necklaces 'nd has long hair, the other has cooked and missing teeth, 'nd the last one was atacked by e dragon when e baby' Ah tough to mehself while meh mum walked down the hill, 'nd ah was alone once again, at least that's wut ah thought, ah started crying and saying (as ef meh mum was here) "ye jest don't understand" ah heard e noise after the first two times ah said that, the third 'nd last time ah said that, ah heard the noise again. Ah got up bow 'nd arow in hand (the arow was in front of me when ah was sitting down) amying towards the trees. But then...

Hiccup's POV:

I jumped out of were I was hiding before she could even open her mouth. "Before you do anything, if you know what Imean, let me introduce myself" I think that for a moment she did not like the idea, but then she said "alright ah guess that et would be fine teh try 'nd make e better friend, go on" I looked at her puzzled "ahg, yer name?!" I still looked puzzled for a few seconds, then snapped out of it "uh... I'm.. I'm Hiccup, and this is toothless, he's my dragon" she looked at me with a confused look...

Merida's POV:

'That name, Hiccup sounded familiar, but from were' I thought to my self.

Hiccup's POV:

"Are you ok?" I asked the girl. Wow, she has beautiful blue waterfall eyes, then, when I heard her speaking I imidiatly focused on what she was saying "ah'm fine, thanks it's just-have we met before?" I then went deep into my memories then answerd her "no, by the way, what's your name?" I think I kinda scared her, because she would not answer "Merida Dunbrogh" looked at her like if we had met months ago but we hadn't,so it was preatty strange "your name sounds familiar" I tolled her in the least scary way I could "yer name sounds familiar" this was a little aquard, but she was relly pretty, so I didn't care. Me and Merida spent the whole day together, got to know each other, what we do every day, she explores around the king dome and does archery, I explore (when I can, doesn't really have to be the weekend), the school we go to, but apperently she's home schooled, I go to dragonworks, our friends, her mom, Angus (her horse), her three little brothers, and her dad, mine are fishlegs, Tuffnut, Ruffnut, Snotlout and Astrid, our enemies her mom (when she gets mad at Merida for no reason) and mordu, me it could be my dad at times, and red death, our problems with parents, they don't understand us, teachers, they could be some of the most annoying people, and after a whole day of talking about each other we remembered why we knew each others names, it was because I was one of the suitors. I think it will be a tough thing, because I know the other two, Snotlout Jorgenson: my cousin, and Tuffnut Thorston: one (not very close) friend of mine. They both used to leave in Berk, but then moved to some of the islands me and toothless found and talked abut with the tribe, they took some people with them so Berk would not be over flowed with vikings.
