I joined the Xianshou today! The General is scarce but he's so handsome. Someone told me that I shouldn't fall for him, that he rejects everybody. That's okay though, I just enjoy the eye candy I get when he does show up.
Friday, March 15
The General is such a nice man, stern, but so nice. It makes him so much more attractive. I think I'm going to enjoy my time working here!

Tuesday, April 23
I think I've developed feelings for the General... He's just so perfect. Sweet and gentle, stern and helpful, I don't think I've ever seen him truly angry. I'm just satisfied getting to watch him work despite how little we see him.
Wednesday, April 24
I think I'm getting a cold, it feels like I've got something in my throat that I can't cough up. I did have a fit at work and it felt like something came out but all there was, was just a flower petal, round and red. I brought a little attention to myself, but the General sent me a concerned glance!
Thursday April 25
I was coughing more today, but I'll get better soon. Today the General gave me some herbal tea to try! He said that if I mix in some honey it should help, the people of the Luofu must have done something to get a General like him.

My coughing isn't getting better, more and more petals keep showing up after my coughing fits. I think the General has noticed by now... I've got an appointment tomorrow to go see a doctor.
Thursday, May 30
Well... I don't know what to write, how to write it... the doctor said I have Hanahaki. You know, that disease that kills people with one sided love. This doesn't change my stance, I still won't tell the General anything, I'll get rejected anyways. At least I still have my eye candy...
Friday, May 31
Today, the General caught me looking at him. SO EMBARRASSING!!! But, he smiled at me so sweetly. No wonder he's had to turn down so many people, smiling at them like that is dangerous. I also had to excuse myself to go cough up a lot of petals. My throat hurts...
Monday, June 3
I haven't eaten much over the weekend, my throat hurts too much. I'm also losing sleep, having to cough up petals in the middle of the night. I did some researching on the petals since I couldn't sleep. Apparently its from the Red Camellia, the site said they embody passionate love and romance and desire. Such a pretty flower...

I have no energy anymore, might stop writing these entries.. I still enjoy watching the General when I can, but I spend so much time in the bathroom throwing up flowers. I don't talk to anyone anymore, can't really talk well. So many petals, it's getting hard to hide the blood and petals... the General suggested I take a vacation, but my time is limited... I don't know what to do
Friday, August 16
I used some sick days off, to make the General feel better. He looks so concerned nowadays, he'd look better smiling. I love him so much, I get jealous when he talks to Yukong and the others. I wish I was in a higher position... I want to tell him how I feel...

The General said he's worried about me, I'm so happy.... but I'm so exhausted, I asked if we could postpone to tomorrow morning. I can't face him like this.

POV 2nd Person
You walked into work, the shine in your eyes gone only returning slightly when you see the General. Everyone has noticed your baggy eyes, the weight loss, your weak presence. Once the General made his entrance he asked to see you. It was time to talk, to tell him everything, but as you walked past the giant holographic board game and up the stairs you wanted to run away, like a cat with all feet in the grave.
Exhausted and finally at the top of the stairs, the General dismissed everyone. Everyone. He sat down and ushered you to as well.
"I'm going to be blunt, I'm worried for your health." He started.
"Yessir, I-" you coughed.
A flower petal sat in your palm, saturated in your saliva and blood. You looked to the general who seemed even more concerned for you.
"I went to a doctor a few months back, he said I have that urban legend disease called Hanahaki."
"I... see." He was speechless.
"Ask any question you want, I'll answer truthfully. I don't think I have long though."
"I have many questions, but what do you mean by not having long?" He asked.
"Then the answer you are looking for is this; about 5 months ago now I got officially diagnosed, here I brought something for you to read after, all this."
You handed over your diary, with a note on the front that read: 'Do not read until after a major event passes.'
"For the second part of the answer; I am not long for this world General," Tears fell down your face with a weak smile. "I truly enjoyed my time here on the Luofu."
"Wait, then, there must be a way to cure it." He refuted.
"There is, but it won't matter now. I guess I can always just say i-" Another coughing fit cut you off.
You kept coughing and coughing this time. You couldn't stop coughing, this was it, you could tell it was time. A large item was stuck in your throat, it was time for your disease to take everything from you.
"Ge- nera- l, hear m-e no--w," You attempted. "Gen-eral Jin-g Yu-an, I l-ov-e you... wi-th all m-y he-art."
Tears streamed down your face from the coughing and the realization that you would not get to see him ever again. It felt more peaceful than you thought, dying like this. Jing Yuan was at a loss, someone who he'd felt close with, someone he liked from a distance, someone who moved him more than the ones he'd talk to on a daily basis, was dying. They were dying right in front of him and he couldn't do anything.
You were lying on the floor now, still coughing trying to get the flower out of your throat while you watched Jing Yuan rush to your side and cradle your head so you would drown on your blood and saliva. You could make out tears on his face, you could feel yourself slipping despite his yells for you to stay.
"STAY WITH ME DAMMIT, YOU CAN'T LEAVE AFTER TELLING ME WE FEEL THE SAME!!!" He yelled loud enough for others to return to the room against orders.
It was too late, this was it, it was your time.
"I love you, dammit," He cried out.
Your eyes closed for the final time, happy, but with many regrets.
