YOU DO KNOW I HAVE
A NAME, RIGHT?

"𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗴𝗼, 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗳𝗮𝗻." the voice of Klaus Mikaelson states as he, along with both Stefan and Marley, get out of the car that they had been in for the last few hours.

It was currently in the middle of the night, and least to say Marley was downright exhausted. She still hasn't fully recovered from the full moon, and that was just adding to the exhaustion that she was feeling.

"What are we doing here?" Stefan asks as both he and Marley follow Klaus out of the warehouse that they had arrived at.

"I know how much you loved it here." Klaus vaguely responds as he looks out at the Chicago skyline. "Bringing back memories of the good old ripper days?"

"Blacked out most of them. A lot of blood, a lot of partying. The details are all a blur." Stefan answers.

"Well, that is a crying shame. The details are what makes it legend." Klaus says, still looking out towards the skyline. "Word was the Ripper of Monterrey got lonely, so he escaped to the city for comfort. It was prohibition. Everything was off limits then, which made everything so much fun. Chicago was magical."

Hearing that caught Marley's attention. During a certain phase of her life, Marley found herself finding interest in the various crime stories and because of that interest, she had done her research on the different serial killers throughout history. The Ripper of Monterrey is one of them. Never did she think that she would come face to face with him, even when she became a part of the supernatural lifestyle.

"Yeah, well, I'll take your word for it. Like I said, I don't remember most of it." Stefan says as he turns and walks away from the open entryway to the warehouse, leaving Marley with Klaus as she looks out at the city's skyline.

"What about you, little wolf?" Klaus speaks out, grabbing the Gilbert girl's attention. Marley turns her head towards him, causing their eyes to make contact with each other. "Have you been here? To Chicago."

"You do know I have a name, right?" Marley says, not responding to his question. She was hoping he would take the hint that she didn't want to interact with him during the time that she would have to spend in his presence, so she turned her attention back to the Chicago skyline. But, alas, her wish was not at all granted.

"I know." Klaus responds, causing her to look back towards him. He stood a few steps away from her, a small smug smirk on his face as he raised his eyebrows, waiting for her to answer his question.

Letting out an annoyed sigh and rolling her eyes, Marley turns to face him as she says, "No, I haven't been to Chicago."

The Gilbert girl was a bit surprised when she saw that it seemed as though he was actually listening to her. The look that was on his face showed that he was interested in what she was saying, even though it was just her merely answering a question.

"Believe it or not, even though I have been to various places after I graduated college, I didn't think that Chicago was the type of place for a werewolf such as myself."

"Oh, you'd be surprised at the number of places that a werewolf like you could actually, not just live in, but thrive in as well." Klaus softly says as he takes a step towards her before turning around and walking away.

Marley gulped as she took one final look at the skyline before walking away from the entryway herself.

"Going to business then?" Klaus asks Stefan as he walks towards him.
