-CHAPTER 2- Detective

Wanting to finish the mission of saving Tachibana Hinata, Takemichi's girlfriend, we started to work and started to research on how she died, from whom she died and who was the person behind all of this.

I did thought for a second that this team of three will be able to solve this easily in no time, me being a homicide detective and Naoto being a cop but Takemichi?...how can he help us with?...selling DVDs?...I am not mocking him or anything...or maybe I am...

Naoto has an access to arrest anyone but if he need proof, I am here to work on evidence and crime scenes...

While Takemichi was at Naoto's place, gathering information about Tokyo manji gang who were behind all of this, I was at a police detective office. This case is under him and he seems to have information which I do need to know.

Sitting in front him inside his office as the man in front of me look through his computer to find the file regarding this case.

He was a young man and I figured he would be 1 or 2 years younger than me, after a few seconds, he found the pictures taken at that time when the scene was being investigated, showing me the screen of his laptop as I see a picture of a young man with busted face, beside tachibana, there were also many victims involved.

Blood was everywhere around his body as his face was unrecognisable, the man in front of me held out his index finger and placed it on top of the right-arrow key and click it, showing me the next picture.

These bloods and things don't disturb me anymore, I have been working under this job for years...seeing blood every day doesn't surprise me to this day but it's not like I am completely heartless...I feel sympathy towards them, knowing the fact that I can't do anything for them...but can find their murderer...

"These are the pictures taken at that moment. by the mouths of witness, it was said that truck was at full speed, and as soon as it hit the target victim, the driver ran away...neither the camera...nor the eyes of the people can capture his face..."

Target victim? Was it supposed to hit only a particular person and not anyone else?

"What do you mean by target victim? Among all these killed people, was there a target...that the murderer aimed for?..."

Hearing upon my question as he himself has predicted that I would ask this type of question, he raised one of his eyebrow and think for the appropriate answer...

"Sure there was but the problematic thing is...all these victims past are clear, they haven't done anything wrong in their whole life, they all are innocent people..."

The man said as he leaned back on his chair and crossed his arms, putting them in front of his chest...he seems to sometimes glance at me when talking as it looked like he was waiting for my another question.

"Well then how can you say there was a target victim?...if all of them were innocent?...what if it...was really an accident?"

I asked him as I want more information, even the slightest of it can help me...

"It can't be...it was all planned by someone...if it wasn't a plan then the truck's number plate would not be all white...there were no truck number there...the driver ran away instead of panicking and doing something and even if he would get scared and that's why he ran away...then he wouldn't have just vanished from the earth..."
