10. Treasure Hunt

The sun had barely risen in the sky when they got up, and they were excited to begin the treasure hunt that was scheduled for a few hours later.

But as they got ready, they couldn't shake the feeling that something was off.

Jieun was the first one to notice it, and she whispered to the others, "Have you guys seen the message on the noticeboard?"

She pointed to a small notice that was pinned up on the board, which read:

"Beware, everyone. We've received news that a Slaughterer is on the loose near Crown Lake. If you feel like you're being watched, immediately report to the Head Authorities. Be careful, and watch your back."

The group exchanged nervous glances, and a sense of unease washed over them.

They knew that they were in for a difficult hunt, and they needed to be on their guard.

As they made their way to the starting point, they couldn't shake the feeling of being watched.

The shadows seemed to be closing in around them, and they couldn't shake off the sensation of being followed.

Heeseung, Sunoo, Ni-ki, and Jay were also getting ready for the hunt, and they gave each other reassuring nods before heading to the starting point.

Finally, Sunghoon's and Heeseung's teams reached the starting point, and the hunt began.

Both teams split up into pairs, just like they had planned, but they kept an eye on each other.

They looked for clues and solved riddles, but all the while, they kept a lookout for anything suspicious.

As they went deeper into the forest for the hunt, they realized that they were not alone.

Someone was following them, and they didn't know who it was. They tried to shake off the feeling, but it was no use.

The strange energy was still there, and it was getting stronger.

Suddenly, they heard a noise. It was a low growl, coming from somewhere in the shadows.

They looked at each other, and they knew that they were in trouble.

The growl became louder, and they realized that something was coming for them.

They tried to run, but it was too late. A smoke bomb was thrown at them and they all went partially blind at that moment. The shadows had swallowed them whole, and they were lost.

The treasure hunt had turned into a nightmare, and they didn't know if they would ever make it out alive.

The sense of foreboding had only intensified, and the identity of the mysterious figure following them remained unknown.

Sunghoon's eyes fluttered open, and his gaze fell upon the darkness shrouding the room.

As he tried to stretch his arms, he realized that he was restrained by chains and his heart started to race.

He looked around and saw that all his friends were in the same situation, except for Ni-ki, who was nowhere to be seen.

The room was enormous and dimly lit, with no discernible exits or windows. The walls were made of grey concrete, and the floor was covered in a thin layer of dust.

The air was stale, and the only sound was the faint hum of an unknown machine in the distance.

Sunghoon tried to rub his eyes, but his handcuffs made it impossible. He started to panic, and his voice trembled as he shouted his friends' names to wake them up.

Heeseung was the next to wake up, and he looked just as confused and scared as Sunghoon.

He noticed that Jay's handcuffs were unclasped and quickly shook him by his legs to wake him up.

"YAHHHHH Jay, wake up! Your handcuffs are unclasped. You need to help us," Heeseung said, urgently. Jay groaned as he opened his eyes.

"What the fuck is going on? Why are we all handcuffed?" he asked, still groggy from sleep.

Sunghoon, who was still in a state of panic, immediately asked, "Guys, where is Ni-ki? Why is he not here with us?"

The group looked around, but there was no sign of Ni-ki. They all began to feel a sense of unease and wondered what had happened to him.

"We need to find Ni-ki and figure out how to get out of here," Sunghoon said, trying to keep his voice steady despite the fear creeping up on him.

Jay then broke free from his cuffs and started to look around the room for anything that could help them escape.

As he searched, the lights began to flicker, and a strange robotic voice echoed throughout the room.

The room's silence was abruptly shattered by a strange metallic voice, an unsettling blend of cheerfulness and malice.

"OH HELLO GUYS! You might be wondering where your favourite Ni-ki is, right? Well, don't worry.

I'm just having some fun with him HEHEHEEHEH! Do you wanna see him? Well, I'll show a little preview. I'm not that bad, you know~~"

The echoes of laughter lingered, leaving the group unsettled. The projector above them turned on by itself, and a video of Ni-ki began to play, leaving the group more mystified than ever.

The video showed Ni-ki in a small room, his face contorted in fear. His body was weak and blood was dripping from his thighs.

He was chained to the wall, just like they were. The room was dark, and the only light came from a small lamp hanging above his head.

Ni-ki's eyes darted back and forth, scanning the room for a way out.

The strange robotic voice continued to speak, "Isn't he just adorable? I'm sure you all miss him already.

Don't worry, he's safe for now. But if you want to see him again, you'll have to play my game. It's quite simple.

All you have to do is solve a series of puzzles, and you'll be able to free yourselves and your dear friend Ni-ki.

But be warned, it's not as easy as it seems HAHAHAHAH!!!"
