Au revoir

Holding the hands for long,
Leaving them, was it wrong?
They should follow us,
But we were just wrapped in papers.

They were singing of peace,
But I skipped their lyrics.
Living with the grouch of own,
Stopped by them, saying,
   "Don't go alone."

The folding pages are torn,
They longed for stopping me, saying,
      "Don't leave alone"
Pages are torn and burnt, groaning.

Love's now what they couldn't feel,
Pages are finished, such it can't heal.

They whispered,
"It's hard to heal a scar."

It was grievous to say a "fairwell"
But they replied,
      " Au revoir. "
