Background:
The reader is Jackson Whittemore's older sister and she has moved back to town after finishing college and traveling a bit (alone or with friends she made in college). She is Jackson's bio sister and they was both adopted into the Whittemore family after the car crash that killed their parents. Because of the age gap, reader knew they was adopted but was told not to tell Jackson until he was older. After finding out she knew that they was adopted that put a strain on their relationship but they was still close as they was the only bio family each other had.
Plot:
Reader could have been somewhere she didn't have any phone service (mountain hiking, caving ect) and when she gets service again she sees a lot of messages and calls from Jackson asking for help and begging her to come back as something s wrong.
She comes back to Beacon hills worried for her little brother and finds out that he is a Kanima and that people are planning on killing him.
Jackson sees her and returns to his normal self just as Derek and Peter kill him, but he comes back as a werewolf. She helps Derek teach Jackson control as well as learning about the supernatural.
After Jacksons moves to London she decides to stay in beacon hills and help Derek with the alpha pack. She is still mad they 'killed' Jackson but has learned to get along with Derek and Peter.
During or After the alpha pack Derek and Reader get together and after the Deadpool they move out of beacon hills.
