Fate [Demon Slayer]

Chapter 14

I reread my book last night until like 1:30 am (I have to get up at 6:30 for school) but we don't talk about that. I found a couple of grammar errors and plot holes but I will FIX THOSE LATER!!! Anygays enjoy!

Obanai's pov:
Drip, drip, drip. I hear the sound of water dripping onto the cold floor. This again? I started having more nightmares and panic attacks when Leon left.

"YOU KILLED THEM!"

"ITS ALL YOUR FAULT!"

"YOU SHOULD'VE DIED YEARS AGO!"

"USELESS!"

"MURDERER!"

"JUST DIE ALREADY!"

I finally manage to wake myself up. But the voice doesn't stop...

"WHY ARE YOU EVEN HERE?"

"YOU DONT DESERVE HELP!"

"RUN AWAY!"

"KILL YOURSELF!"

"THEY FEEL BAD FOR YOU!"

"THEY REALLY THINK THAT YOU'RE A FREAK!"

"Stop god dammit!" I yell at the voice. I'm shaking, holding my head. I want it to stop. But it won't leave me alone.
"Hey, is everything ok in there?" I hear a nurse ask from the outside of my room. She opens the door and walks over to me. I'm so pathetic. I can't stop the tears from coming and my whole body from shaking.
"I'm fine." I mumble. She looks like she doesn't believe me.

"Even she thinks you're pathetic."

"Shut up" I mutter under my breath. She seems to get it.
"What do you say we talk about this during tomorrow's check in?" She asks me. "Do you think that perhaps having white noise or music in the background will help?"
I nod. I've noticed that whenever I'm alone or it's too quiet the voice comes back.
"Do you want to come with me? We have a white noise machine in the game closet." She tells me. "We can also get some water if you'd like."
"Ok." I manage to say. We walk out together to go get the noise machine and a glass of water. Then we walk back to my room.
"Are you ok now?" She asks. I nod as I take a sip of the water. She plugs in the white noise machine. "Do you want me to go now?" She asks. I nod again. She leaves.
I turn on the white noise machine. I don't want the rain sounds. They remind me of when it rained when I was in my cell. I could hear it clearly. Thunder was also a no.
I eventually find ocean noises and decide on that. I remember the first time I saw the ocean. Me, Kyojiro and Senjuro played in the waves and made sand castles on the beach.

"Kyojiros dead though now!"

You have to remind me? As if all of my other memories aren't enough. I sigh and change the sounds. It goes to a static kind of noise. I guess this one will have to do.
I try to get some sleep and ultimately lay awake almost all night thinking but at least I didn't have any more panic attacks.

Mitsuri's pov:
Master sent me to check up on Obanai. Shinobu, Giyuu, Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu and Inosuke defeated upper moon 2 but it cost MANY lower rank demon slayers. We need him back badly. Especially since those 6 are injured and won't be able to fight for a while.
I walk in to see Susan again. Is she just always here? She's so annoying.
"Hi! I'm here to visit Obanai!" I say "cheerfully" she rolls her eyes and points to the room. I bow ANGRILY and speed walk to the room.
After a bit Obanai walks in. He looks tired. That's really saying something since most demon slayers hardly get any sleep in the first place.
"Hey!" I greet him. He nods and sits down. Kaburamaru slithers out of my shirt and around his neck.
"So. I have good news!" I say excitedly. He waits for a response. "UPER MOON 2 WAS DEFEATED!!!" I basically yell at him.
Tanjiro is so cool! He's always there when higher ranked demons are defeated!
He looks shocked. Honestly I felt the same way when I heard. Like, UPPER 2!?!?
"That's good. It will probably be a while until they can find a replacement for it." Obanai observes. Wait... they can find a replacement? I didn't even think of that. :(
"Oh... yeah!" I say. I guess I should think positively. "We lost like... 180 demon slayers though." I tell him.
"Why would they send that many low rank demon slayers?" He asked. I shrug. I guess that doesn't really make sense.
"Are you doing ok in here?" I ask him. He looks around as if thinking of another lie to tell me. He thinks he's sneaky but I can tell when he lies to me.
"I'm... fine." He says. LITERALLY NO ONE WHO SAYS THAT IS ACTUALLY FINE! I'm kind of mad that he keeps lying to me but I know he just doesn't want me to worry.
"Ok..." I say. We wait for a while in silence. Then Susan comes in again.
"Times up!!" She yells at us. We walk out of the room and Obanai gives Kaburamaru back. I go to another nurse since I don't want to talk to SuSaN.
"Hey! Are you Obanais nurse?" I ask a lady that I think I recognize. She nods.
"May I talk to you?" I ask. She nods again and we walk over to another room. "So... I was wondering if Obanai is well enough to leave in a couple of days." I ask her.
"Hmm..." she thinks. "I don't know. It's hard to tell at this point. It's a possibility." She says optimistically. That's good.
"Ok." I say. "It's just that his job is super understaffed and they would like him to come back as soon as possible." I explain. I then realize that may sound a little bit selfish. "And also... his snake misses having him around." I add.
"Understandable." She nods. "I guess you can check up on Friday and we'll see how he's doing." I nod and walk out of the room.
I probably sounded so selfish! Oh well...

Boom! You thought I forgot about Giyuu but it was I, Dio. Anygays have a great day/night! I'm being forced to go socialize... help.
