"What the hell do you want, Carmela?" I ask, the question coming out in a growl.

"Lily, I just wanted to talk. Please, sweetie." My fists clench tightly at my sides.

"Don't fucking call me that, bitch." I retort, already heading toward the door.

"You have no right to speak to me like that, young lady!" I'm practically shaking with anger now.

"No right? NO RIGHT?!" I shriek. "You have no FUCKING right to be in this HOUSE! You abandoned him! you abandoned ME! FUCK YOU!" I shout, feeling the blood rush through my veins.

"I need to explain!" She shouts in return, attempting a hasty grab at my wrists.

"Don't FUCKING touch me or I swear I'll fuck you up." I say, snatching my hand away, my voice dangerously low.

"At least listen. I came because I was concerned. I needed to see if you and Kara were okay." She says softly, trying to catch my eye.

"We're fine! Just DANDY! Now get the fuck out of here!" "Please. Lily." Kara pleads, eyes brimming with tears.

"You have sixty seconds." I growl, giving Carmela an expectant look. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry for what I did and it was all my fault I-" "You're pathetic." I spit, cutting her off.

"Do you think I wanted to leave your father?" Carmela asks, on the verge of tears. "You seem to be pretty fucking happy right now, so yeah, I assume you did."

"Lily-" "He's in a mental hospital! A FUCKING MENTAL HOSPITAL BECAUSE OF YOU! Don't you dare try and talk this bullshit with me because I'm not fucking having ANY of it!" I yell, getting up to leave.

This time, no one makes an attempt to stop me, and I storm out of the house, slamming the door loudly in my wake.

I pull out my phone and quickly dial Natalie's number, tapping my foot impatiently as I wait for her to pick up.

"Hello?" I sigh in relief at the comforting tone of her voice. "Nat, come pick me up. She's back." I say, hoping she'll understand. "I'll be there in five minutes." She replies quickly, hanging up.

Natalie pulls up faster than I expect, and I shoot up from the curb I was sitting on, running toward her car.

"I'm sorry, Kitty." She says sympathetically as I slam the door shut behind me. "Don't call me that." I snap, staring straight ahead. "Does it annoy you?" She asks, smiling softly.

"Yes." I reply, scowling. "Where are we going?" "There's a party on eighth street." Natalie suggests, glancing at me.

I dismiss it with a wave of my hand. I'm not exactly in the "partying mood" at the moment.

We decide to just drive through for some food and eat it in her car. "Hey." She says, grabbing my hand before I have a chance to unwrap my burger.

"You get any of that burger on my seats and you pay for new ones. Got it?" "Being a little drastic, don't you think? You can always pay for them yourself. You practically roll around in money." I murmur, rolling my eyes.

"That's not the point," she hisses. "Fiiine. Relax, I'll be careful." I reply, drawing out my words lazily.

Natalie purses her lips and nods. It's obvious she can see through my little act.

"So are you going to tell me what happened?" She asks curiously. "I'll tell you when I FEEL like it." I snap, returning to the task of unwrapping my food.

"That's not what I meant." "What did you mean?" "Why'd you skip out today?" I huff in exasperation.

"Look Nat, not everyone's as perfect a student as you. Give it a rest." "I'm just asking why. I never said it was wrong." "But it is." I challenge, looking her straight in the eyes.

"Just tell me why the hell you weren't there." "I got into a fight." I sigh, taking a bite of my burger. Suddenly I'm not so hungry.

Natalie's eyebrows raise of their own accord. "Who with?" "Well not a FIGHT fight, but almost. Some blonde idiot with a crush on Holter pinned me against the wall this morning." I explain, my lips pressing into a thin, hard line.

To my astonishment, Natalie bursts out laughing. "That was YOU?" She asks, shocked. I raise an eyebrow.

"No, it wasn't. I just imagined it and brought MYSELF to the principal's office." I retort, my voice dripping with sarcasm.

"Everyone and I do mean EVERYONE was going on about you two today. About how terrified your little "victim" looked." She snickers maliciously.

"Good to know I'm so popular." I say wryly. Natalie snickers again and stuffs a fry into her mouth.

"Whatever." I mutter.

We eat in silence for the rest of the meal, and I do my best not to make a mess all over Natalie's seats.

God knows I'm one of the messiest eaters ever.

"Ready to go?" Natalie asks once we've disposed of all our trash. "Nope." I say, popping my 'p.'

"C'mon, Kitty. You'll have to confront her sometime." "Well now's not the freaking time." I snap.

Natalie just sighs and starts the car in silence. After a few minutes, she asks, "So where do you want to go then?"

Rebels! So Jake and Lily ended up skipping school together. I know it doesn't seem logical (or realistic) for him to just pop up out of nowhere, but you guys'll find out why later on.

And Lily has some family drama. That'll be explained later on, too, so don't worry. :)

Well what do you guys think so far? Comment and Vote! :*

xoxo,

Sofi
