It was a normal day for me in Mt.lakes high school, but something felt off. The air was thick and I felt cautious, and scared. Their was a boy, Jacob Hendrickson. He was always the quiet kid I knew there was something off about him. Every time he walked into class he sent chills down my spine. " miss lenson, may I use the bathroom?" I asked politely. " be quick we're in the middle of a lesson." She says in her normal sharp, quick tone. I walk out the door slams behind me. My uniform shoes clack against the hardwood floor as I make my way to the girls bathroom. I make my way in and it's completely empty, abandoned looking. I do my business and I'm in the middle of washing my hands when alarms blare, their loud and I see flashes of red right outside the door then, lights out. I run my way out of the bathroom and sprint down the hallway to my classroom. I try to open the door but it's locked and it's dark inside. " please! Open up" I plead as I bang on door louder each knock. Nobody responds and It seems like I've knocked on every door. I hear footsteps that seem like their not to far. Gunshots fire just dowm the hallway. The only source of light is the exit sign glowing red.  I fix my skirt, tights, and buttoned up shirt and get ready to run. I feel a cold hand touch the back of my neck and I don't dare look back. I escape from its grasp and run down the hallway. It's pitch black. The only sense of direction being the exit sign I dash toward it. Gunshots fire and I manage to dodge all except 1. It hits the back of my knee and I keep running blood trails behind me leaving a pool of it on the floor and I feel footsteps right on my tail I turn a corner and lose him but blood is still pooling at my feet and I start to faint. I never wanted to come this school far from home. I couldn't imagine dying here.
