y/n turned to her door quickly, snatching a make up brush off her desk: the smallest one she could find that could potentially jab into the intruders eye.

she slowly stood up, holding the brush up ready to swing. She began walking quietly towards the door before swinging it open quickly.

"woah- hey- okay jeez" walker stood there his hands behind his back, backing up before y/n had the chance to do anything.
she let out a breath relaxing her hand "oh my god you scared me" she gasped, dramatically putting a hand over her heart.

"Surprise" he exclaimed sarcastically, holding out a bouquet of flowers. Y/N's eyes widened with disbelief, "how'd you have time to get that?"
she laughed, he rolled his eyes "i got them this morning because i was gonna give them to you when we hung out later..but this works too"

He chuckled, "I thought I'd spice things up a bit. You got your thing in LA, and i don't wanna waste time. Plus I wanted to support you in person as soon as i could." The genuine excitement in his eyes melted y/n's initial surprise into a warm smile.

"walker..." she mumbled with a huge smile, she hugged him tightly "thank you" she said into the hug, he slowly hugged her back smiling to himself.

the two shared laughs in the living room as they made meaningless conversation, they'd been talking for the last hour, but it's felt like mere minutes to them.

Y/n sat up against the couch keeping her eyes focused on walker as he rambled on. She didn't say anything as she listened to his ever word. She didn't mind listening, matter of fact she liked listening to his little rants. She would listen to them over and over again if she could.

she hugged her own knees on the couch, turning towards him. "you know what we should do?" she said suddenly "hm?"

"we should live stream and make a cake that'd be so fun" she answered excitedly, he nodded "yeah let's do it" he smiled.

The kitchen chaos unfolded as they playfully bantered and exchanged teasing remarks, all with a twinkle in their eyes. Flour ended up on faces more than in the mixing bowl, and eggs managed to escape their intended destination.

"oh my god walker you have to get the egg IN the bowl" y/n said rolling her eyes, he scoffed "oh really?" he asked sarcastically.

y/n snatched the bowl, cracking the last egg with easy but leaving a couple egg shells. "oh great job n/n" he said sarcastically
"stop being such a drama queen" y/n snapped back, scooping out the shells with a spoon "see"
walker snatched the bowl from her.

y/n scoffed at him before she pat her hand in left over flour, then reached up smearing it across his face. His hands, already holding the bowl, couldn't push her hand away so instead he cringed turning the other direction as his entire left side of his face was covered with a hand print of flour.
