Really quick, before I start, I got this idea partly from BonkersAboutEbooks. Thanks for reading the first part of this, and for the comments.

If you haven't read the first book in the series "Quiet and Content", read that first. Or don't. It will maybe still make sense.

∆∆Percy's POV∆∆

"Hey Percy! Tomorrow is you and Jason's two year, right?" Piper asked.

"How could I forget? He said he's planning something special for this anniversary." I say.

"He says that every year." Annabeth cuts in.

"So? It's special to me. It's just been kind of boring lately. I'm sure it's nothing." I shrug.

At that moment Jason calls me. It's as if he knew I was talking about him.

"Hey Percy." He starts.

He seems nervous.

"Hey love... What's up?" I question.

"I won't be able to see you tomorrow."

That was straight to the point. He barely hesitated.

"Why not? Is something wrong?" I asked.

"... My mom. She called me right before I called you. She said she's feeling sick, and wants me to go see her."

His mom lives an hour away. They haven't talked in years after his parents divorce.

"Oh. Okay. Tell her I hope she starts to feel better. I'll talk to you later, Jace."

"Bye Perce." He says.

I hang up the phone.

"What was that about?" Piper asks as she brings a bowl of popcorn to chew living room, where Annabeth and I were sitting.

"Jason said he wasn't going to be here tomorrow. He's going to see his mom." I explain.

"He's acting kind of weird, don't you think?" Annabeth questions.

"Yeah, I guess so." I shrug.

"Well, you ready for the movie?" Piper asks, sitting down next to me.

"Sure." I nod.

"Yeah, but leave a light on. I'm still working on the essay for English."

"You're not done?" I question.

"No, Percy. I'm not. I'm dyslexic, remember. I can barely read what I'm writing." Annabeth explains.

"So am I, Annie, and mines done." I say. "I finished it on the first day."

"How'd you do it?" Annabeth asks as she looks up from her computer.

"Mr.Chiron helped me. I talked to him. I wrote it in Greek. He helped translate it to English. It was easy, shockingly." I explain.

"Okay then." Annabeth didn't really know what to say.

*Time Skip to the next day*

I woke up still on the couch in Piper's living room. Piper was also asleep, my head was in her lap. Annabeth was sleeping on the small chair next to the couch, her computer had fallen to the floor, along with all of her notes, and she herself was falling half off of the chair.

Slowly, I got up, careful to not wake the Annabeth or Piper, and went to the kitchen.

I decided I wanted to make  some breakfast for Piper and Annabeth, because I was bored.

After rummaging through the cabinets, I settled on pancakes.

I was about halfway done with the pancakes when I first heard the couple in the other room wake up.

Slowly, they came to the kitchen. "Whatcha making?" Annabeth asked tiredly.

"Pancakes." I say, giving them both a plate full of pancakes.(which obviously Percy put blue food colouring in)

"Mmm... This is really good Perce!" Piper exclaimed.

"Thanks Pipes. I'm going to go visit Hazel at the park. I'll see you girls later." I say as I walk out the door. They wave as I leave.

*At the park*

"Percy!" Hazel exclaims, jumping on my back as I walk up to the park.

"Childish dork." I roll my eyes as I gently flip her off my back and onto the ground.

"Kelp head." Thalia says as she also turns the corner into the park.

"Thals? What are you doing here?" I question.

"Just visiting for a few weeks. Then I have to go back to camp."

"Why did you go to the camp in the first place?" Hazel asks.

"School just got boring. They teach much more valuable things along with the normal stuff that you learn at school." Thalia explains.

"Why are you here and not with Jason?" I question.

"I should be asking you that question. It is your anniversary after all." Thalia teases.

"Did he say what he was planning?" Hazel implores.

"No. Just another 'something special'." I shrug.

"Well, why aren't you with him?" Hazel again.

"He called last night. Said his mom was sick. Is your mom sick?"

"No... She hasn't called me about feeling sick. She just called me last week saying how excited she was to see me next month." Thalia says.

"Then where would Jason be?" I ponder.

"I have no idea." No one does.

We all go back to ignoring it, knowing that Jason will be back eventually.

We hang out at the park for a long while, talking, running around, eating snacks, talking some more.

Eventually, Hazel needs to go back to her place. "I'll see you all later!"

"Bye Hazel!" Thalia and I both yell out at the same time.

"So, what now?" I ask.

"You want to come over for a sleepover? I've been so bored lately and Jason's been so secretive." Thalia asks.

"Sure! Let me just text Piper a d Annabeth to tell them, because I told them I would hang out with them, but they won't care if I change plans." I pull out my phone and text a group chat that me, Piper, and Annabeth are all in.

Perce (6:02pm): Hanging with Thalia. Having a sleepover

Pipes (6:05pm): Sounds fun! See you tomorrow?

Annie (6:06pm): Have fun Percy.

Perce (6:08pm): Yeah, I'll come see you both tomorrow.

"Okay, let's go." I start walking towards The Grace Household.

"So, what do you wanna do when we get there?" Thalia asks, going through her pockets as she walks. "Do you have money? I'm starving."

"Yeah. Some." I nod, but don't stop walking.

"Can we get food? Please!???" She begs.

"I'll make you food." I compromise.

I open the door to Thalia's house. We had walked for about 10 minutes from the park.

I look through the doors and I can't believe my eyes.
