7 AM ; I rolled over to realize I was in bed alone .. again. I picked up my iPhone 6 and dialed my fiancé number . "Your call has been forwarded to a automatic voicemail syst-"
No Answer . I rolled out out bed and went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. When I got back in the room my phone began to ring . I ran over thinking it was Semaj but it was just my bestfriend Zenia. "Wassup Z"
"Miracle ... I have something to tell you, But promise me you won't spazz" She said . I sat on the edge of my bed and closed my eyes. I wasn't ready for whatever she was about to tell me, But I knew it was serious by the tone of her voice . "I promise..." I finally said . She sat silent on the phone for 10 seconds and when she spoke, My world came crashing down. "I saw Semaj's car parked in Monet driveway .. I don't know how long he's been there but I just-"
"All Night" I said as a tear rolled down my face . Monet is Semaj's ex , Of 3 years . I sat the phone on my bed and made my way downstairs leaving Zenia on the phone . I sat on the couch and stared at the door waiting for Semaj to walk in. 10 minutes passed and I saw his White Audi A6 pulling in the driveway . I flipped on the tv and turned to "Law and Order: SVU" . Semaj walked in and smiled that perfect smile . "Snap out of it Miracle" I thought to myself .
"Where were you? You didn't come home last night" I said , Standing to my feet . He walked over to me and wrapped his arms around my waist grabbing my ass . "Missing you.." He said as he pecked my lips . I looked over on his neck to see a hickey . "What the fuck is this Semaj? I definitely didn't do this" I screamed pointing to the hickey . "Baby what are you talking about"
"Oh so you don't know huh? You know what, I'm done" I said grabbing the keys to my Range Rover . Semaj grabbed me and pushed me against the wall . "Calm the fuck down, You ain't going no where" , "It's not a hickey , It's a bee sting" He said . I chuckled and broke loose from his grip . "A bee sting? Yeah ..Bitch sting. That bitch Monet was all on your neck last night? Is that why you didn't come home? You think I didn't know that you was there" I said beginning to cry again as I opened the front door to leave . I unlocked my car door , hopped in and proceeded to leave . Semaj ran down to the end of our driveway and stood there
I rolled down the window and told him to get out of my way before I hit him. "Baby are you gonna let me explain" He yelled out . Let him explain? Fuck that . I put the car into reverse and backed up until I was almost to the end of the driveway . "MOVE SEMAJ" I yelled . He stood there with a dumbfounded look on his face as if I spoke another language. "I'm sorry Miracle, Just let me explain" I was tired of hearing that same line over and over again from him . "Let me explain" . I put the car in drive and went back up the drive way. Semaj began walking back up the driveway and I blacked out . I put the car back in reverse and backed up , hitting Semaj . "Omg what have I done" I screamed . I put the car in park , and ran to Semaj kneeling down holding his head.
He was still breathing, thank god. "Omg Miracle what happened? I rushed here after I realized you wasn't on the phone anymore" Zenia said running up to me . I cried hysterically and shrugged my shoulders. "Help me put him in the car Z, I promise I'll explain later" I said . Zenia helped me put him in my car and I sped off taking him to the nearest hospital. When I got there , I couldn't process what just happened .. My mind was everywhere so I pushed him out and sped off.
45 minutes after sitting in the parking lot , I decided to go in and sign in as a visitor . I went to the front desk and signed in . "I'm here to um .. I got a call that Semaj Drayton was checked in here.. I'm his fiancé" I spoke. The white heavy set lady looked over her glasses , turned to her computer and began typing. She took out a marker and wrote Room 313 on a sticky note. "Room 313" she said handing me the sticky note . I grabbed it and walked to the elevator . I rode up to the third floor , and found Semaj's room . I stood at his door thinking of all the things I wanted to say. I walked in and stared at him. "Semaj ..." I said softly.
"He can't hear you" The nurse said coming from behind the curtain . "I'm Nurse Janie, His Nurse .. And you are?" She said extending her hand . "I'm Miracle.. his .. sister" I said . Sister? Why did I say that. She shook my hand . I sat beside the bed and grabbed his hand. "Well I'm sorry to tell you love, But your brother slipped into a coma 10 minutes ago" . I closed my eyes and asked for alone time . She nodded her head and offered to go get me something to drink. "Yes please, water would be fine" .
I sat there staring at him , holding his hand. I don't know what happened to me today. I've lost my damn mind. "I loved you , Why did you do this to me" I said softly . I kissed his forehead, took off my engagement ring, and sat it on the table beside his bed. "Take care" I said. I kissed him one more time and walked out the room .

"Open your eyes" Dr.Schneider , My therapist said. I opened my eyes from telling the story that haunted my life everyday since the incident; Which was 2 years ago. He grabbed a tissue from the table and handed it to. I wiped away my tears and shook my head. "I would go back and change it all if I could" I said .
Dr.Schneider wrote some things on his notepad and spoke "Don't blame yourself Ms.Smith" He looked down at his watch and stood up . I figured my 2 hr therapy session was over . I stood up as well and grabbed my things . "Thanks for the time" I said . "See you next week" He said as I walked out . I put my sunglasses on , and walked through the double doors out to my car. I turned on my phone and saw that I had a new voicemail.
"Hi Mrs.Drayton, this is Nurse Sherry from McLeod Hospital.. I'm calling to inform you that Semaj is being released from the hospital, This was the number he gave .. I - "
I hung up. My heart dropped to my stomach.
