"where are you taking me"? I giggled as he pulled me along behind himself.
"Somewhere s-s-special". He turned around and smiled at me. My heart fluttered and i looked towards the ground smiling. We continued to walk past the football field to behind the bleachers. There we reached the edge of the woods that surrounded the back of the school. I became a bit nervous but followed him down a dirt path until we came to an open clearing.It was a small meadow with an even smaller river running through. I mumbled a breathless "wow". He turned to me with his arms out gesturing at our surroundings with a big smile.
"W-w-what do you th-th-think"? I looked around at my surroundings the sun was shining and I couldn't help but smile uncontrollably.
"It's beautiful. I can't believe i never knew about this place". He began blushing.
"I come here everyday. I've never shown anybody this spot before". I blushed a little and looked towards the ground still smiling. Suddenly he took my hand sending sparks through my finger tips all over my body. I gasped very quietly, he didn't seem to notice. He pulled me along to the middle of the meadow and laid down. He patted the ground next to him and waited for me to do the same. I hesitated then sat down, i couldn't understand why I was so afraid to be near him. I took a deep breath and laid down next to him. He laughed and began pointing at clouds claiming they look EXACTLY like animals or objects. I didn't see what he was talking about but I nodded and said a few "Yeahs" and "mmhmmm" here and there. He quickly pointed excitedly at one.
"That o-o-one looks l-l-like a h-heart"! I looked at the cloud. I concentrated hard , then it became very clear. I could see the smooth curves and heart shape!
"Oh! That's so cool! I see it I see it! Do you! Look! Oh! It's so cool"! I looked over at him, he looked at me lovingly smiling. I blushed embarrassed at my childish behavior. "Sorry", i muttered quietly, mortified.
"don't be". He smiled and laughed. Suddenly he reached out and picked up a piece of my hair that'd been flying in the soft breeze. I blushed and sat perfectly still. I didn't realize it at first but i was holding my breath, it was only until a gasp escaped my lips that I felt light headed. He suddenly snapped out of his small trance like state and pulled his hand away blushing. I felt weird like i wanted him to touch me again. I thought back to the soap operas I'd watched. What would Marissa do? Without thinking i reached out and embraced Aesop. I heard him gasp and felt his chest rise sharply then fall slowly. I felt embarrassed and was about to let go when suddenly i felt his arms slide around my back and hold me closer. I gasped a bit but then all my tension disappeared and i melted. He was so warm and he smelled good. I clung onto him not wanting to let go. This was a perfect day.
