Every time we touch, it's like the last time.

The sun shining through the curtains wakes me up from the best sleep I've had since the breakup. I try to shift myself in the bed when an arm tightens its grip around my stomach. I look to the right of me and see the beauty from yesterday.

She looks so peaceful lying in a deep slumber, maybe I could just lie in bed with her a little longer, maybe try to go back to sleep. My thoughts are interrupted by my loud ringtone. I jumped up trying to turn the device silent so as not to disturb the singer who had her arms wrapped around me.

Speaking of the singer, she hasn't even told me her name. I told her mine, hell I basically gave this girl my address.

My thoughts are quickly interrupted by my phone vibrating in my hands. I quickly walk over to the bathroom trying my best to make the least noise possible. I gently close the door shut and accept the call from my mother, while putting it to my ear.

"Amelia, where the hell are you?" she firmly asks down the phone.

"Good morning to you too" I whisper with a sarcastic tone.

"Less of the attitude Amelia, I've told you this before" she scolds me forgetting that I am not a ten year old little girl anymore, I'm 20.

"Right yeah sorry" I mumble trying not to create any big drama with my parents this holiday, because that's apparently all I do to them as they have told me multiple times before.

"Anyway, where are you. Me and your dad have been knocking on your door the past ten minutes, we are getting really worried. Do you have a boy in there or something?" she rambles her tone still being sharp with her first born.

"What no, of course not." I say truthfully. Because it wasn't a boy who I spent my first night here with. "Mum, I couldn't really sleep last night" Lies, I had the best sleep I think I've ever had. "I just took myself around for a walk, just to look around the place" I say, messing with the strings of my hoodie.

"Oh, right. Okay, well meet us in an hour, we are going to go to the lake today because it's so warm. We will be waiting in reception if you bother yourself with doing anything with us this holiday" she says as the line cuts off.

"What a bitch" I mumble to myself before standing up from the edge of the bathtub. I let out a sigh before slowly opening the bathroom door. I look up thinking I was going to see the singer still in a peaceful sleep but to my surprise she was sitting up looking right at me.

"Hey, I thought you left" she says, her morning voice so raspy it almost let a blush spread across my face.

"No, no. My bitch ass mother rang me and I didn't want to wake you"

"Thank you" she says, chuckling. "This is none of my business but I take it you have some drama with her?" She questions opening the duvet for me to crawl back in.

"Something like that." I say getting back into bed. "Me and my parents don't really see eye to eye on many things. They think I'm very liberal and I see them as conservative assholes, sorry, that was rude" I apologise.

"Hey, what did I tell you last night? Stop apologising. Anyway, speaking of last night. I don't even remember falling asleep" she says in her American accent. Her accent is so different from mine, she talks so softly and smoothly whereas I speak more harsher with my words, a bit more expressive.

"Neither do I. I just remember embarrassingly blubbering about my ex. Thank you for listening."

"Anytime, no offence but it was nice hearing about someone else's heartbreak for a change" she said, making us both laugh as I gently slapped her arm.

We both lay down in silence, the only noise being the birds chirping outside. I look over to a clock on the wall.

"Shit" I say sitting up.

"What's wrong?" She asked me panicked.

"I have to go meet my family, I said I would do something with them today. God, I haven't even been to my room yet" I say looking over to my suitcase standing in the corner of the room.

"It's fine. You will be fine. Borrow some of my clothes if you want. We look to be around the same size" she says going over to her drawers.

"Thanks so much" I say, getting my toothbrush and running to the bathroom. Once I'm done freshening up for the day I see that she left me a pair of shorts and a blue adidas t-shirt.

"Perfect, that's something I would wear," I said, throwing the shorts on.

"I was thinking, I never caught your name, singer girl" I say to her while she lies on the sofa, guitar in hand.

"Well, isn't that fun. Just call me G" she says strumming the guitar.

"Oh. mysterious are we? I'll find your name. My life depends on it." I say grabbing my suitcase and unused key card. "Thank you so much for everything. Hope to see you later?" I question.

"You definitely will, I had a good time. Try to enjoy your day" she said, making me grin.

"I'll try. I would love to hear another song later" I tell her slowly making my way out the door.

"Of course. I'll be waiting, she said, giving me a small, unexpected hug. A hug that lasted way longer than it should have.

Like a goodbye hug.
